  5. And that's why I don't like making plans for the day because that's when the word 'premeditated' gets throw around the courtroom. A-Jay
  6. LOL ~ Only my manicurist knows for sure ~ A-Jay
  7. I just share pictures & video. If holding the bass 2.4 inches from the camera lens is exaggerating, then I am no doubt a straight up crimial. ? A-Jay
  8. Can't tell you how happy I am for you, how much I appreciate you taking the time to share your adventures here, especially in such detailed fashion. Bravo Sir . Such a special day with so many gorgeous brown bass. I haven't been on the water in weeks but plan on getting out later this week. If this type of killer action doesn't pump a guy up nothing will. Congrats again A-Jay
  9. @volzfan59 Like most everything that's on social media today, it's pretty much impossible to know what is real. Maybe none of it. Rarely is it the loudest or the only voice. Leaders of nations have managed to circumvent all kinds of indiscretions. This pales in comparison but still chaps my seating area. As much as I have chosen not to patronize the other major player, I will be doing the same with this organization. Their driving force is not something I care to be associated with. Thanks for the update but I'm done here. Remeber when people weren't pathetic ? Me either. A-Jay
  10. @WRB Happy Birthday A-Jay
  11. @Cbump Not sure what you're asking but that looks like some nice running either way. Keep it up. A-Jay

Tank & Kya do 'play' together BUT, there's never any toys or balls left out. Tank's a bit on the possessive side and Kya 's quite a bit faster than him. So if she snags his favorite ball and takes off, it takes a while for him to catch her (usually has to cut her off pretty hard), in the meantime his frustration builds. Not a good thing, as he'll be a little rough and roll her over pretty good. Bottom line, Tank does not like to lose, at anything. We foster that to a point, like when I tell him we're done or 'leave it', he knows it's over. But when someone/something we don't know or want is on or near the property, Tank's on high alert and ready to be Tank. We sleep good at night. I REALLY like this one. A-Jay
  13. DUDE ~ What GIANT ! Out-Standing Bass. Congratulations and Welcome to the 11 lb Club ! A-Jay

  16. During certain times of the year, I'm a bit of a flats freak. Meaning I seek them out and fish them often. IMO, there's quite a bit that goes into making a 'flat' something that holds the fish I'm looking to catch. In no particular order, flats that have some type of cover (hard or soft) hold bait, has an absence of fish looking to eat bass, less boating traffic and of course the right depth as well as 'proximity' to deeper water. Subtle depth changes and or bottom compositions changes can be money too. All of this varies quite a bit but when it's right, it's right. IME bass might only venture onto a flat very briefly - usually to feed, and then they bail. Low light & cloud cover can extent their stay a bit and I like that. Locating 'fishable flats' on a chart or map, is pretty easy. Unfortunately these documents don't come close to telling the whole story. At the very least we have go to them and see what's what. Then we have to fish the ones we think might produce. This may need to be done many times and at many different times of the day, or at different seasons. Several different presentations may need to be tried - over & over. All of this before we get out first strike. OR, if we're fairly lucky, a fatty hits our offering straight away. That's fun. Either way, the 10 ft Lake Menderchuck flat pictured above (bottom right hand corner), has produced a number of trophy brown bass for me over past few years. At first glance it might not look like much but it most certainly is. My point being, chart study is good and an important aspect of locating possible fish holding areas. But it doesn't end there. 17. Soreness gone so Workout 1 today. Been doing what I can to get the most of out this training. Eating decent, getting plenty of sleep and staying hydrated in the heat. Completed 3 working sets of the scheduled 6 movements. Showing the last set of each here. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  18. I put quite a bit of time & effort into being the best version of me that I can be. Yet despite having capacities I probably would not have if I chose a different path, I certainly have limitations that I didn’t have in years past. The secret for me is to know them, be honest with myself (a work in progress) and to optimize my time on the water best I can. So quality over quantity is the reward. It doesn't last forever. Stay Safe A-Jay
  19. Woke up to what appears to have been night time carnage. #nomercy A-Jay
  20. The question you really need to ask yourself is Can you safely navigate an 18 or 19 ft boat in rough water ? If there answer is yes then you should already know what size hull & design it takes to do this. When folks ask 'what boat should I get ?" It usually because they do not have experience in big water and are hoping the boat will make up for that. Here's a little tip. Boats don't 'handle big water, boat drivers do. My advice is to get more experience on the water and then select the right tool for the job. Stay Safe A-Jay
  21. Thanks, I appreciate the offer. And while the sand, & shells and great ocean smells are killer. What I miss the most is being 200 plus miles off shore. Part of the planet few experience or even know exists. The sheer vastness and how insignificant it makes me feel. And during a wild storm way out there, the pure primal power of it all and that helpless feeling that I am totally at her mercy. Not knowing but hoping, that she'll let me live to see another day. All of this made me realize that 'Man' as a species has a lot of nerve thinking her can 'ruin' an entire planet. Those that do have never been to sea. When planet earth has had enough of our foolishness, she'll simply shake us off like the insignificant fleas we are. A-Jay
  22. Every. Single. Day. A-Jay
  23. Me too. Dont sweat it. The hair thing is a running joke on the forums. Nice Bass btw. A-Jay
  24. While I rarely get off scot-free, as a result of yesterday's efforts I've been rewarded with a very healthy dose of muscle soreness. Said it before and I'll say it again. Don't totally hate it but just never get used to it. In my mind being 63 'hurts' enough; thank you very much. A-Jay
