Sometimes 2500 / 3000 reels are the same size and weight, but the 3000 has a Deeper spool. A-Jay

I prefer 2500 or 3000 size reels for bass fishing. It's all about line capacity for me. More is better. The two reels on the right are 3000 Diawa Tatula SS. Rest are 2500 (white) & 3000 size Shimano. A-Jay

Having the Max HP on most any rig will allow the operator to get the top performance from the hull. Less HP equals less performance. Not desirable for me on bigger water. YMMV. As for 'options', knowing what I needed and why is what drove my decisions. I do not know what that means for you and your fishing. Might be wildly different than what I've got going up here. Additionally I chose a Lund Dealer that is also an Authorized, Minn Kota, Mercury & Humminbird dealer. Just so happens to be the brands I prefer and made for a very beneficial relationship. All of the electronics & the trolling motor (including the quick mount) were installed by the dealer. My rig was pretty much turn key when I got it. The Lund 1875 Pro-V Bass is currently only being offered in the 'XS' configuration. The bench seat model is no longer being manufactured. I recommend the 200 HP ProXS for the 1875. I solo launch & recover my rig and converting from standard carpet bunk to composite bunks has made the process easier & safer for me. @snake95 What has helped me quite a bit boils down to preparation. Depending on the conditions, the gear and just about anything else that can factor into it, knowing what I want & need to do, in advance of get the bite I'm hoping to get, has been invaluable. When I first starting recording my fishing, it was obvious to even the most casual observer, that my fish fighting & landing 'technique', needed work. Streamlined the entire process. Being and staying Calm, Patient & Smooth, best I can. Once the fish is in the net, I can lose it and it doesn't effect the outcome. Good Luck. A-Jay

My objective is not to bring a wild, jumping & thrashing brown bass boat side. I prefer to slip the net under a 'controlled' fish. Doesn't always go that way but sometimes it does. We all hate losing big fish. Here's a clip of a decent smallie I got on a ned rig and an 8 lb Tatsu leader. (Even though I say 6 lb in the video, it was 8 lb). I was pretty sure on the hookset that this was a full grown one, so I took my time. House, garage, dog kennel, boat, vehicle, mowers as well as any & all associated Lawn & snow removal equipment. If I can touch it, I can clean it. With the exception of the underside of my truck, I do. Along with that, if I can dismantle something (within reason) I clean that too. So my version of 'clean' is full send. Regardless of my somewhat relentless efforts, dog hair will forever be a condiment in our home. A-Jay

It's not the only way to present the bait, but it's how I 'figured' them out in the beginning. And it's been such a killer bait, I just needed to slow my roll. What I'm describing is very similar to fishing a blade bait. In cooler water the bait is allowed to go back to the bottom on a tight line. In warmer conditions a slack line fall seems a bit better.
