Stupidest thing you ever said to your wife or girlfriend that got you in trouble.
Stupidest thing you ever said to your wife that got you in trouble. As it applies to my first wife way back when, I'd have to go with "I Do". Mostly down hill from there. A-Jay

During the right conditions, the Megabass Pop Max has produced several very respectable bass for me. In both domestic and international waters. Keep an eye on that rear feathered treble, it can bend out a bit on slounch jobs. A-Jay

How much do weather/illumination conditions affect when you go fishing?
Haven't been chased off the water by the conditions in a while. But it happened this morning. The launch and run up the lake at first light was a little sketchy but the forecast called for it to lay down. Never did and I was already pretty close to the operational limits of my rig. Couldn't fish effectively, so I bailed. The ride back wasn't too bad and the boat sort of put itself on the trailer. Good Times. Plan on hitting the reset button and trying it again tomorrow. One day closer to hard water. A-Jay

I do not partake. But whoever put out the local forecast today was most likely hitting the hash pipe pretty hard. A-Jay

trailer length increasing
Not sure how much, or even if it would effect the towing 'posture' enough to notice, but moving the load forward on the trailer, often changes the tongue weight. Proper tongue weight is the key to safe towing. That was mostly just a PAS as I'm almost certain you know that. Unless there's a distinct 'reason' to change it from the original position, I would not. A-Jay

I'd say you should most definitely address it right away ! And here's your answer . . . . A-Jay

Working to Stay Lean ~
Pull 1 this morning and it was a tough one. The mental challenge to stick it out and get this one done was seriously demanding. Not sure why. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

How much do weather/illumination conditions affect when you go fishing?
How much do weather/illumination conditions affect when you go fishing ? Won't even mention hard water. "The Weather" IS the driving force as to where I go fishing, when I go fishing, and If I go fishing. Just the way it is. Prefer low light, wind & waves need to be safe, and I need to be able to present whatever I plan on fishing effectively in the areas I want to fish. So frozen line & guides are less than ideal. Weather/illumination conditions also effect boating traffic which I almost always do better without. Finally bigger water can get pretty big during certain deals. Always keep an eye out for surprises, especially early & late season. Fish Hard A-Jay

Glass cranking rod recommendations
While I think I would if they were still available, as I do like those reels. I decided to hang with the Diawa theme and paired those sticks up with a couple of Elites. So far I'm pleased. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Tatula_Elite_Casting_Reel/descpage-DTEC.html A-Jay

Push 1 this morning. Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and some Core at the end. This one felt pretty good. Training every other day on this type of split really suits me, especially now. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

Nice Bass. btw - I use that same strap light to do the dogs at night. Surprisingly effective too. Especially since I love gnats in my nasal passages. OK, I don't actually love that. A-Jay

You're Not Getting Bites, What's the First Thing You Change?
Perfect ~ This NEEDS to happen just about every trip I make. In the truck on the way to the lake, I have to give myself a stern talking to. Otherwise, there is too much sadness and perhaps even a little sobbing. A-Jay

St. Lawrence River Live-Mix blues
Not sure if I agree with the 'most losingest sport' designation. Looking at the thousands and thousands of athletes from other 'Pro Sports' have to believe the numbers pale in comparison. If Pro Bass fishing is supposed to be the best of the best, compare that to the number of minor league 'players' in the other major pro sports that never 'make it'. Then add the number of players that do but never 'win it all'. We can all go hit a ball, or shoot a puck, sink a basket, and throw a spiral, and even catch a bass, but how many of us are going to win a championship ? Previous few unfortunately. Someone should ask Bowman if the wants some cheese with that wine. A-Jay

do you still consider yourself a rookie in fishing?
My rookie year happened during the Lyndon B. Johnson administration. And while I have no problem admitting there's always more to learn, especially in bass fishing, a neophyte designation is not applicable. A-Jay
