  1. First one's on me. The second one is not. btw, leaf blowers, chain saws & gun fire can all be part of any fishing trip I make. Think we had the trifecta on this one . . . . . https://youtu.be/S_Owp6ZVN0U?feature=shared&t=1122 A-Jay
  2. I'm a good 1500 miles north of you I think, but local fishing during the big fly (mayfly) hatch can be tough sledding; especially for brown bass. Many conventional approaches fail miserably. I finally caved and went straight up fly rod guy. Mostly just for redemption. It was a good move. Sunset has been the best for me. A-Jay
  3. Good Luck ~ I'd be looking for a long steep incline/decline (insert Big Freaking Hill) Evaluate going Up & coming down which is good part of my drive with the boat trailer going just about anywhere here. btw - I'm a 6.2L guy. A-Jay
  4. Drinking & Dreaming today ~ A-Jay
  5. Apparently that particular area of TN has some wildlife that I am not familiar with . . . A-Jay
  6. Love most all of the "natural sounds" associated with my fishing including the assortment of birds, the howl of 'the wind' and my paddle coming in & out of the water as the Old Town canoe glides across some little body of water that seems like it's in the middle of no where. Perhaps topping the list is actually No Sound. It's the intense pregnant pause while waiting the few seconds for my fish scale to tell me what my eyes already know. https://youtu.be/o9xew3tWuuU?feature=shared&t=1124 Fish Hard A-Jay btw, honorable mention could go to ProXS. https://youtu.be/T7LO6RQA7yY?feature=shared
  7. I'm the confused one. I was trying to be a funny guy. Not so much apparently. Can't say as to what your baits value might be. A-Jay
  8. You're welcome. Is that a trick question ? Nothing on Homer's forehead. A-Jay
  9. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Looks like that bait remains quite popular. At least on E-Bay. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p4432023.m570.l1313&_nkw=lucky+craft+hagane+lure&_sacat=0 A-Jay
  10. Push 1 this morning. Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and finished with some Core work. All things considered, I'm feeling pretty good. Consistency is like a secret weapon. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  11. I use this Frabil (9510)- Works for me. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003JSLWLQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 Tried the rubber bag - was too heavy to use effectively with one hand. And I am at least average as far as strength goes. Point of interest; I fish from a boat. Please consider a silicone mat to set the net/fish on to remove hooks and take pics. If you're concerned about removing slime, it's the way to go. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LVSB8SL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 #sanddirtrocksleavesgrasscatpoop A-Jay
  12. Wind and weather - does it affect your decisions? Yes. ? A-Jay
  13. Little surprised at the lack of soreness today. Not complaining though. ? A-Jay
  14. That's Awesome to hear. Something I get Lucky. ? A-Jay
  15. So it's not just me. The Pro-V Bass IS THE REAL DEAL. A-Jay
  16. Legs 1 this morning. There's never anywhere to hide on Leg Day. Straight up grinder. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  17. I am not a big fan of those weird dudes, but they eat just about everything I don't want in my yard so they get a pass. Still don't like them though. A-Jay
  18. A-Jay replied to Woody B's topic in Everything Else
Glad Mrs B is OK. The past 25 years or so, some first hand knowledge of the medical field has proven to be both amazing & scary and everything in between. Our Humanness is a supremely complicated deal and each and everyone can be wildly different. 'Misdiagnosing' is a real part of the practice of medicine. Just comes with it. Again, so happy for you and your family. Stay Healthy & Safe. A-Jay
  19. Life is full of cross roads but we don't always know when or 'see them coming'. Doesn't change the inevitable. Thinking about and deciding what I will do (in advance) when the time comes, has made the decisions a little less of a struggle. Still often a hard pill to swallow but it helps keep me present. Life is the ultimate challenge. A-Jay
  20. Not sure at this point but definitely down grading whatever it is. It's the OG way. A-Jay
  21. Thanks for asking. Short answer, I like doing them and life is short. Supplemental info: Never stopped recording my fishing however recently I've been being semi-selective on what is posted publicly. Future Plans and recommendations: Spent the last 2 months 'scouting' a new to me version of Lake Menderchuck and it's a fairly huge body of water. The YT stalkers will have their work cut for them, but so will I. Best case scenario. Finally, during my 'last season' on the water with the Pro-V Bass, and sadly there will be one, all my cards will be face up. Going out in a blaze of glory. #lakemenderchuck A-Jay
  22. Awesome Name ~ And I heard that place is killer ~ A-Jay
  23. Just got back from the GMC dealer. Verdict is ~ New Truck. Ordered it today. This particular dealer was allotted exactly ONE 2024 AT4 with the 6.2L engine for the remainder of 2023, and it's got my name on it. Bet you could guess the color. I was told that the actually delivery date will depend on the build date which recently has been wildly unpredictable. There's always something. More to Follow. ? A-Jay
  24. Thank you very much for the kind words and your support. I means a lot. And you're right. It's hard. A-Jay
