  1. A couple of different spybaits ~ Duo Realis Spinbait Spybait 80 G-Fix & a 90 And a couple of different weight drop shot rigs (1/4 & a 1/2) Both sport Flat Worms. Fish Hard A-Jay
  2. While this town is growing pretty fast, thankfully it still maintains the "small town" feel. Probably helps in this situation. The name of the small grocery store is 'Family Fare', if that tells you anything. Plus, I know a guy . . . . Fish Hard A-Jay
  3. I've been making a coupe of modifications to my spinnerbaits for a while A-Jay
  4. To learn with, yes. And backing plays no role in the casting reel spool over run deal. At least not in my world. Good Luck A-Jay
  5. Not for the same reason. Perhaps just to save a little $$ on the FC Few bass fishing applications require more than 1/2 or at best 3/4's of a full spool of useable mainline. A-Jay
  6. I'm a few minutes south of the bridge up in Otsego County. And my dogs enjoy running those grouse around the back forty too. A-Jay
  7. Mr Cherry just pick off a couple of very ripe Bass ~ A-Jay
  8. Agreed ~ In fact I very rarely fish a drop shot vertically, regardless of depth. A long cast 'to' whatever I'm targeting, gets me way more bites than sitting on top of them. Working the trolling motor right over their heads doesn't seem to help either. So if I can sit off them without detection, seems the stouter fish are much more willing to bite. btw, if you're looking to use a drop shot to 'cover' a little water, whatever you do, do not nose hook a little swimbait on a drop shot. Might get your arm broke. Fish Hard A-Jay
  9. Buy another Kayak and some extra tackle and start inviting friends. Sounds extreme but . . . . . Life is short. A-Jay
  10. Perhaps consider switching 'something up'. Maybe come up with your own type of 'challenge'. Like only bring one type of bait with you, or fish very light tackle, or if you really want a bit of a rush, go at night. Might re-light the candle for you. Good Luck & Fish Hard A-Jay

  15. After watching several seasons worth of my own hooksets back on video, I can say with the highest of confidence, that I am a tightliner. Even when "they knock three feet of slack in it", which I do love btw. It works for me. Fish Hard A-Jay

  25. Might be OK depending on the size of the fish and if you can get a hand on it right away to control it. However, I'll tell you what will not be OK . . . Treble hooks. #nightmare Fish Hard A-Jay
