Optima Battery
As long as your charger is designed / approved to safely charge Sealed Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries, you should be good. You can compare your chargers capacities to the info in this link ~ https://www.optimabatteries.com/en-us/support/charging/charging-tips BLUETOP Type: D34M / D31M/ D27M These batteries are dual-purpose. They are designed for engine starting and deep cycling applications, as well as for use in boats with large accessory loads. Recommended charging information: Alternator: 13.65 to 15.0 volts, no amperage limit. Battery Charger: 13.8 to 15.0 volts, 10 amps maximum, approximately for six to twelve hours. Cyclic Applications: 14.7 volts, no current limit as long as battery temperature remains below 125°F (51.7°C). When current falls below one amp, finish with two-amp constant current for one hour for D34M and three-amp constant current for one hour for D27M and D31M. Rapid Recharge: Maximum voltage 15.6 volts (regulated), no current limit as long as battery temperature remains below 125°F (51.7°C). Charge until current drops below one amp. Float Charge: 13.2 to 13.8 volts, one amp maximum current, time indefinite (at lower voltage). Strictly adhere to all limits. A-Jay

Optima Battery
I run blue tops. Four 31M's were installed new in May 2016. Always have plenty of juice for whatever needs it. Make sure your on board or portable charger is compatible. A-Jay

Spinnerbaits?
No ~ My current PB Brown bass ate a big spinnerbait. And my first double Digit Green Bass came on a spinnerbait. Besides, can't do this with a vibrating jig. A-Jay

Really Hard to pick just one presentation ~ While I've had some very memorable days on the water fishing jerkbaits, I am going to have to say an A-Rig. Just because they always totally Hammer it ! A-Jay

Spinning Rod Jerkbaits-What’s Your Setup?
Thanks ~ This was an inland lake in northern lower Michigan. When presenting jerkbaits is in cooler to cold water, perhaps consider less of a 'snap' and more of a slow pull; with a pause of course. It's something I got from this video and it's been pretty killer for me. A-Jay

New to Ned - Help Please!
Far from an expert Neg Rigger, only been throwing them for a couple of seasons. Manged to catch a few. I use & prefer the same gear for the Neg Rig that I use for my hair jig fishing. The baits are similar in weight and I present them in much the same manner. I spool up with 10 lb braid main line and use a a fairly long 8lb FC leader as well. I talk a little about my set up here ~ A-Jay

BPT Lake Eufaula
Seems like a decent young man. IMO his channel does a nice job of passing on his experience as an inexperienced bass angler. Got to start somewhere. A-Jay

Most embarrassing moments
This has become a bit more of a concern for me than I'd like to admit. Most travel rods just don't hold up. This was the third one in two days And this one wasn't even mine . . . . . . A-Jay

Another tragedy, another reminder....
I trained routinely in cold ocean water. Although always properly equip, it's still no joke. Total body Immersion in water below 50 degrees just flat out Hurts ! Especially going in unexpectedly. Here is some supplemental info ~ Stay Safe A-Jay

Spinning Rod Jerkbaits-What’s Your Setup?
I use spinning gear to present jerkbaits at least half the time I fish them; which is often early & late season especially. Been doing so for a long time and it works for me. I like medium action sticks usually in the 6'10" range but will use a a 7'4" to get extra distance on a cast. Always 10lb -15 lb braid & a 8--10 lb mono leader. That said, for baits over 1/2 oz, I'm usually using revolving spool tackle. Spinning gear & a jerkbait accounted for my last fish of the season in 2019 A-Jay

Winter weather ‘19-‘20
We got a few inches as well. And it's pretty cold but the sun's out. I'm still hiding in the house. However Lynn just headed out the door with Breezo for "A Run". As she left she gave me the old . ."Are you sure you don't want to come ?" My response was just 'the face' - You know the one . . . . #imarriedaviking A-Jay

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I haven't fished them yet obviously, but from what I've read about them, presenting them deep may not be something that works well. My lakes are deep too, but I'm looking to fish them 'over' cover. And the option of stopping it, and letting it hang there for a while, is keeping me up at night. A-Jay
