  4. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Nice Bass Congrats on your Personal Best. You were probably about 97 pounds soaking wet and old dead eye might be 4 or 5. A-Jay
  5. And he didn't think anyone would notice ? "What a maroon" A-Jay
  6. Bam ! (shut it down) A-Jay
  7. 1/2 oz and above all the time - Crankbaits, lippless baits, blade baits, swingheads, football jigs, and don't even get me going on topwater ! Also, my PB in Michigan choked a 3/4 oz Shpinnabait ~ Why does the baits weight matter ? A-Jay
  8. Just to fill the blanks a little here . . . . USCG Regulations for both navigation & safety equipment apply to 'federal waters'. In the ocean, federal waters go from the bank out to 200 miles(for US Flagged vessels); State waters go out to 3 miles. On inland lakes & rivers - Federal rules apply to waters that either border the USA and another county or where the waterway is on the boundary of two or more states; Like the Mississippi River. Lakes and waterways that border USA & Mexico, USA & Canada and any waterway or lake that exists IN two or more states; will have a Federal presence. States certainly can do and will enforce their State jurisdiction where applicable. But the USCG will also board & enforce all applicable State & Federal Rules & regs on these water. A-Jay

  10. If you're looking for a straight shank replacement of that Gammy EWG, one that has a similar wire size - these are that. Forget about the name or the advertised description. I am a HUGE FAN of a regular 4/0 Gammy EWG. That one hook has accounted for a ton of great fish for me; over a wide array of applications. But since trying these hooks - they might just be a little better. YMMV A-Jay
  11. Check out - Gamakatsu Finesse Heavy Cover Hook And ~ Gamakatsu Aaron Martens G-Finesse Heavy Cover Hook If you're a fan of the regular Gamakastu EWG (Like I am) then either of those might be your cup of tea as well. A-Jay
  12. Also regarding Mr. Parker comments about his past & current abilities; nothing but respect. Additionally, these comments may also bring into perspective just how incredible a man & angler Rick Clunn is. A-Jay
  13. Thank you ~ I've not seen one but like you, I'm curious. HP options indicate it's not a super heavy craft. A-Jay
  14. OK - I'd be good with the hull weight of ANY of their rigs - Seems they don't list them on their site. A-Jay
  15. Are there any hull weight numbers posted anywhere- ? I can't seem to locate what these rigs weigh. A-Jay

Me too Tom. And I hope it's something I already have. But I bet it won't be. A-Jay
  17. I'm not convinced the glass-infused aluminum hybrid hull design can be durable over the long haul. Granted there's not a lot of info on exactly it actually is - and that may also be by design. A few years of beating the water in demanding conditions will tell the tale. They look cool - personally, I'd prefer a deeper hull design. If the first few on the water are received well, that could help boost their sales along somewhat. If the reverse happens - could be tough sledding at that price point. A-Jay

How about bending the weed guard back and wrapping a length of pipe cleaner around it & the jighead ? Easy On, Easy Off and mostly re-useable. A-Jay

So how long before parents of previously unadmitted youths band together to launch a class action suit? Certainly, there's got to be significant income potential loss as well as all the pain & suffering involved. Just Brutal. Someone has to pay. A-Jay

  21. Me - Too The 6th Sense bait has been a mainstay in my super early season arsenal for a while. May do a side by side - cast for cast, one vs the other; if I can get on the right bite. This Sonicside is totally silent - so I like that as an option right off the bat. And I'm pretty pumped about the Perch - which is not a 6th sense pattern; at least this slightly translucent GP Megabass pattern. We'll see & I'll let you know. Hopefully, I will be able to tell the story with pictures, video & scale usage. A-Jay
  22. After an unscheduled but needed off day, I’m glad to be back at it. One thing that was kind of a bummer, after watching the video back, I realized I skipped the last set of D/B rows – what a slacker. Not a fan of that. Going to keep my logbook in my face going forward to eliminate that action. Also, I'd like to apologize in advance for the inadvertent "mooning". A-Jay
  23. This vendor usually carries a decent selection of quality baits - https://www.thehookuptackle.com/fishing-Crankbaits/Megabass/Sonic+Side A-Jay
  24. Cool ~ That ought to generate some interest. Time will tell what kind. Congrats A-Jay
