  8. That's a Tank ~ You Still Got It ! Congrats A-Jay
  9. Very Sorry to hear about your health challenges. My wife & I both retired from the military a while back. She was medically separated for some serious heath issues which sorted made my choice to retire a little easier. All of that happened fast and although we were OK financially, mentally we had some adjusting to do. It was a challenging time. It's been a learning experience for sure. So I can relate to where you & you're wife are at and have an idea of where you're headed. Your posts here lead me to believe that you guys will be OK. Hope the best for you both. Finally the best thing about being retired is from that point on . . . . "Jim's on Jim Time". - And that's REALLY Nice. A-Jay
  10. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  11. Thanks - I am quite familiar with the BSS. Great option. I can do them but have to be careful I don't get that front knee out over the toe. Also I always want to use that back leg more than I should. #ibecheaping A-Jay

  13. I know what you mean - I am really not a fan of anything rattling on anything I'm driving. Makes me a little neurotic. A-Jay
  14. Here's a few options ~ https://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Hitch_Anti~Rattle.aspx I've not used any of them. A-Jay
  15. Some of today's “Physical Therapy”. Always a tough one but arguably the most important. Those step back lunges have been a saving grace for my knees. Mixing up the core work keeps it ‘fresh’. Which is a nice way of saying ~ sort of brutal. I'll be sore tomorrow. A-Jay
  16. Sorry to hear about your friend's vision loss. Fishing at night can offer many bass fishing benefits. A really good one is if one does it enough, at some point, one develops a heightened sense of what one's bait is doing at any given moment throughout an entire cast. Usually translates to better strike detection any time of day. A-Jay
  17. Hello Mike and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Congrats on that Hefty Personal Best Bass. A-Jay
  18. Nicely Done ~ The red eye color on a couple right there is quite pronounced. A-Jay

  20. @Jibber82Thanks and that Renegade looks like a sweet rig ~ I'm running 4 Optima BLUETOP D31M's. (Light Grey Case) Only two years into them but very happy so far. https://www.optimabatteries.com/en-us/bluetop-dual-purpose-deep-cycle-and-starting From Optima: BLUETOP Marine Battery: The BLUETOP starting battery (dark gray case) is to be used when a dedicated starting battery is required; it should never be used for cycling duty. The dual-purpose BLUETOP (light gray case) can be used for both starting and deep cycling; it is a true deep-cycle battery with extremely high cranking power. Also use for: Trolling motors, marine applications with heavy electrical accessories and RVs should use a dual-purpose BLUETOP (which is both a starting and deep-cycle battery) Marine applications and RVs when the battery’s only function is engine starting Note: The difference between BLUETOP and YELLOWTOP deep-cycle batteries is that BLUETOP batteries have both automotive (SAE) posts and threaded studs, while YELLOWTOPS (other than D31T) only have SAE terminals. If you ever get confused about the colored tops, just remember: If it has a dark gray case, then it’s a starting battery; if it has a light gray case, then it’s a deep-cycle (dual-purpose) battery. 21. Water temp is only part of the deal ~ "Probably the biggest mistake anglers make is they get hung up on water temperature. Sure, warming water is important in the early spring, but it’s also highly overrated. I’ve seen big groups of bass move into the shallows when the water temperature was in the low 50s. Influences that trump the spring transition and are more important are length of daylight and moon phase. The longer the days the more anxious the fish are to transition toward spawning areas. Now, if we have an extended winter followed by a major warm up that coincides with the right time of year and a full moon, magic can happen." KVD offers the rest of his thoughts on the subject here . . . https://www.bassmaster.com/kevin-vandam/don-t-jump-gun-spawning-season A-Jay
  22. Along the lines of the Major Craft Zoner Hunters (nice bait btw @WRB), The Spro Rock Crawler 55 and the new 6th Sense Curve 55 are both killer mid-depth Crawfish imitators that get bit. A-Jay
  23. That Bait Monkey Math can be Pretty Tricky ~ A-Jay
  24. That's crazy ! Fish looks like a Sea Monster and on that jump, completely dwarfs the kayak. And if that was an Ugly Stick, seems to have handled that epic battle rather well. A-Jay
  25. I use Two. Storing multiple labeled 'money bags' of assorted soft plastics. Works well. A-Jay
