Tow capacity
The 2018 Grand Cherokee Altitude weighs about 4,600 lbs - As with any towing evolution, it's as much about the stopping as it is the pulling. Getting a load moving is the easy part. The rule of gross tonnage applies. Something to keep in mind. A-Jay

Braided line.
Asking for any product to be great & cheap can be a tricky proposition. One that can and often does result in a loss of time, money & effort. Not a fan of any of that. While Power Pro is a quality product, in my experience, there are some better and several worse. I like Sufix 832, Seaguar Smackdown and Daiwa Samurai - each of these require a little bit more of an initial investment than Power Pro. I do think of it as an investment, as all of these quality braids excel in durability. Meaning that unless they are subjected to extreme use, they will LAST a Long time - even several seasons of regular use. So while the initial coin drop may be a little steep, what one gets in return, (zero stretch, loads of line capacity, the elimination of line twist on spinning gear & super long casts), IMO is well worth it. YMMV A-Jay

Working to Stay Lean ~
Yes ~ I eat to support my training. Several small meals a day. Lots of egg whites, chicken & fish for protein. I do enjoy a steak now & then though) Brown rice, sweet & white potatoes, Oatmeal, Whole grain pasta & a few bean for carbohydrates. 2 or 3 servings of Fruit & vegetables a day (usually raw in a salad - olive oil & balsamic vinegar for dressing) . Virtually no bread, very little if any alcohol (that's a new one - past year or so - Mexico excluded ***makes a huge different for me) and there's no snacking - everything consumed is a small balanced meal spaced 3 hours or so apart - 7 am, 10:30 am, 1:30 pm, 5 pm & 8 pm. 3 or 4 nights a week I'll have a protein drink before bed. Keep in mind, I am a retired person. No kids, no job and I'm on A-Jay time most every day. I did this before retirement but it was part of my job (eating right, and exercising) so that made it a little easier. I would never fast - don't see where it would help me - I feel I need the gas in the tank to fuel the machine and as long as I don't put low grade fuel in - can't see why I'd need to ask my body to perform at it's peak without the necessary sustenance to do so. It's worked for me - for just about all of my adult life. No magic, just commitment. I rarely do this (but believe this human to be the real deal) If you're looking for what I believe to be a safe & effective "training philosophy" - check out Jeff Cavaliere at https://athleanx.com/about-jeff-cavaliere The man is educated, lives clean and gets results. He also has a youtube channel where he post several times a week. A-Jay

How many here have caught a 10lb+ bass and in what state?
The MLF anglers are clearly some of the very best - but I think we can both agree that during those derbies, they are not looking for Trophy bass - especially when a 'score-able bass' in most cases only needs to be 12 inches. SO many of those shows, (and it is 'entertainment') because of the format, end up being dink fests where the majority of the field is targeting docks in 3 feet of water with a light action spinning rod & a shakeyhead. Not saying one couldn't get a DD bass that way, but let's just say that it's not a common practice So IMO, MLF derby results do not reflect any body of water's DD Bass holding potential. A-Jay

Interesting take. While I'd agree that double digit bass are not 'common', there are more in some places than others. As for doubting claims of catches, there's a whole lot of really good sticks mixed into this BR crowd, just saying. Finally, how long one has been bass fishing is merely a measure of time. A-Jay
