What is the proper tongue weight percentage for a boat and trailer?
One option is to take your loaded rig to a weight station & weigh it. A-Jay

He got an 8+ today during the lunch break but the camera was on and they showed it once the live coverage resumed. If you're watching live - they'll most likely show that one a few more times today and again at the weigh in. A-Jay

I watched all of day 1 - I don't think there was any footage of that one. Too bad too - that was a Go-Rilla ! A-Jay

Chatterbait Trailer
Goes on the back of this ~ The slim / less resistant profile in combination with the somewhat smaller (and different blade design) allows for a faster retrieve. This encourages the bait to 'hunt' just enough to make me smile. I can fish it through light to medium vegetation like a crankbait - without the grass fouling up the bait. In clear water I have better results with a little speed. A-Jay

"First time braid suggestion"
I use & enjoy Suffix 832 braid. Braid may help with line twist on most any spinning set up. 10lb on the lighter side, 15lb braid's a good middle zone and 20lb on the 'a little heavier' side of your spinning gear. A-Jay

**The Official 2017 Ice-Out Thread**
Next 5 days or so day time air temps in the high 40's AND night time air temp ABOVE freezing ! That's the deal. Most local lakes have water on the ice, this bodes well for the home team. Without getting overly optimistic (yea right, who am I kidding ?) I could be reintroducing myself to the local bass population the first week of April. That would be 2 weeks earlier than last season but still Not Soon enough. A-Jay
