I am NOT a fan of that particular treble Hook. The only bait I every fished it on was a Rapala Sub-walk - it came with a feathered sure set treble tail hook. It was terrible. Rapala has since Stopped using them but before they did & before I started changing them out to Mustad Short shank triple grips - the hook up to strike & land ratio was very very poor. After the change, it's been very very good. I would Not Recommend that treble hook. A-Jay

I did. A couple of seasons ago I made a commitment to Learn it & did my best to apply it. Even posted a thread on it. However, it never really came together for me. I'm definitely NOT in any way, refuting the effectiveness of the technique. Clearly Mr. Murphy's results speak for themselves & proved beyond a shadow of a doubt his skill & experience stitching was truly at an Elite level. Just that for whatever reason (probably my lack of patience & / or these waters matted weed bottoms) I had very little in the way of success doing it. A-Jay

OK ~ I'm throwing it under docks mostly where the area underneath is void of anything I can't recover the bait from. A-Jay

I had these conditions myself two days ago. Was a deep clear lake with brown bass out numbering the green ones 2 to 1. Not many docks and shoreline cover is practically nothing. Drop shot with 10lb braid & 6lb leader was the only way I could get bit after say 10 AM. With craws on the bottom right at the ramp, a Nose hooked Rage Craw was an easy choice, even for a knuckle head like me. Secondary drop past the deep weedline (mostly cabbage) in 15-25 ft seemed to be the best areas and I stayed on the "Breezy" side of the lake all day as the flat water is fun to fish but largely unproductive. Ended up with a few brownies nothing picture worthy but I did get my string pilled a few times. btw - the pike bite offs were often & frustrating. A-Jay

Here's an option ~ If the town has a "Fine" for violating a zoning law, the Cost $$ of the fine may be less than the cost of the storage . . So you'll pay one way or the other but if it's close - one is certainly more convenient than the other. And after a while your neighbor will get over it. Just a thought. Good Luck to you A-Jay

Check out Maxima Ultragreen. Admittedly I don't know for sure whether this quality line is a true Co-poly or not. TW say it is & the Company website calls it monofilament. Whatever the case, I'm a believer. Maxima Ultragreen features outstanding abrasion resistance and unchallenged tensile strength that holds up to punishing runs of all sizes of fish. Used it exclusively for smallies on Erie, for Brute Bass in the trees in Mexico and for everything here in my home waters in Michigan both as a main line & especially as leader material. Its trademark strength is a hallmark attribute. Others may be as good but I haven't found one Better. A-Jay

Your list may get pretty lengthy as there are quite a few bait out there that dive to 12 & 15 feet and some that actually go to 20 feet as advertised. The 20 ft diver list is smaller although it's been growing here recently. A few of each for me are listed below and the true 20 ft baits are pretty beefy. 12's ~ Spro "Mike McClelland" RkCrawler 55 Crankbait, & 6th Sense Crush 250MD Crankbait, & Strike King Pro Model 5XD Crankbaits 15's ~ Strike King Pro Model 6XD Crankbaits, Lucky Craft LC RTO 3.5XD Crankbaits, & 6th Sense Crush 300DD Crankbait 20's ~ Strike King 8XD & 10XD Crankbaits, Lucky Craft LC 6.5 XD DRS Crankbaits, and the Beast - Lucky Craft SKT Magnum 120 Mag DR Crankbaits A-Jay

Can't say if it's the best as I haven't tried them all but the 1/2 oz. Strike King Denny Brauer Structure Jig skip nicely. Has a semi-flat head design that seems to help more than it hurts. These may or may not be readily available in your area. They are in mine. A-Jay

I'm an EWG hook user & abuser. For standard (light wire applications) it's Gamakatsu Offset EWG Worm Hooks Black for me. Has been for Years. For Medium to Heavy Lifting, I'm a Huge fan of the Owner Wide Gap Plus Black Chrome Hook ~ It's like a GAFF. Tired really hard to like the Lazer Trokar MagWorm Hook. But the majority of my rigs are Tex-Posed and this hooks "unique surgically sharpened three-sided hook point" slices through my baits well before a fish can get on them. No Good. Still, I carry a wide assortment of various gauge wire Offset Round Bend Worm Hooks ~ just never use them. Maybe someday . . . . . . A-Jay

I fish quite a bit from a canoe and although not quite as light as a kayak, hook sets into decent fish still routinely move me & the boat toward the fish. This really does seem to "absorb" quite a bit of the end of line hook setting power which if left uncompensated for can result is less fish making it to my net. With the possible exception of Finesse presentation like a standard drop & split shot rigs, and regardless of the rod type / composition (glass, composite or graphite) Braided line has helped quite a bit as the no stretch property of the line transmits the immediate hook setting power right to the hook point, then it's a matter of reeling like a mad man to keep the line tight. I'm in a new boat this season and this stuff is pretty much a none issue. I'll admit to liking that. A-Jay

Baits & Trailers that have a split nose or a worn open "hook whole" but are otherwise intact, are candidates for Dr. Mend-it. I'll save then all up and use the process to help get through the hard water season. A-Jay
