X2 ~ Same here Haven't posted about it until now, but I have used the Spear rigged vertically on the Rage Blade a bit. Both with & without a skirt. Caught a few too; green ones, brown ones and some with Big Teeth. Makes for a compact presentation and has a good action. A-Jay

I do it with a 5wt ~ It's fine for bluegill, I could easily go down a weight too. For small bass it's good too. But once I got a little more serious about the bass, the size of the flies & the size of the fish indicated a move up. I fish mostly smailles so I went with a 7wt for that. A-Jay

I'll guesstamate about 55-60 give or take a few. But about one third of those are designated as "Pike only baits". That's for two reason's really; first it means they've caught pike before and second, after that they're usually fairly bent and often somewhat mangled. A-Jay
