  1. yup no problem, if you're heading up could you bring some jigs with ya i'd be more than willing to purchase a bunch. :)
  2. Found some vids of KVD at BW creek thought you guys might wanna see.
  3. Instead of the mojo I highly recommend the e21 carrot stix "crankin" stix 7ft 2in Medium Moderate. It behaves like a medium heavy and is quite sensitive and extremely versatile. It can handle spinnerbaits and crankbaits quite well. Even the heavier ones.
  4. ice out! it's all softwater from here on out boys! although the season hasn't started (not even C&R) i'll be testing my new equipment in a private lake. gotta shake off all this rust from teh winter hybernation.
  5. I believe by next week it'll be completely soft water if it hasn't happened already. All of the smaller inland lakes have already melted but i'm not 100% sure about st. clair. If you'd like g-man i can go out and check for ya it's only 10 mins from my houes.
  6. careful not to hydrolock your vehicle, it could be extremely pricey. I've seen a few cars come through the shop that ended up with bent rods or even holes in the block.
  7. I've tried the stretching technique (stretch about a casts worth of line to limber it up.) I've also treated it with KVD line and lure. It was a brand new spool. After one trip I promptly replaced it with Seagaur AbrazX 15# which is amazing compared to the yozuri even without KVD L&L.
  8. #5, you should leave them no slack, and when you feel they're about to jump pull your rod down so they aren't able too. you never want a fish to go airborne. watch how good ole kevin sets the hook & plays the fish.
  9. All Blue & Yellow? I think we have ourselves a Wolverine fan here. ;D
  10. Road Warrior could you post a picture of your Yo-Zuri Ultrasoft off of the spool please? Because my 15lb Ultra Soft has TERRIBLE memory even after treated with KVD line and lure.
  11. Kou I was just about to post that video haha.
  12. bps has their graphite series on sale and they have some 2 piece casting rods.
  13. Has anyone used the Steez Flourocarbon Line and how does it compare to Trilene 100%? I'm thinking about the 16lb for my jigs t-rigs & flipping.
  14. Daiwa steez 100sha and steez rod 7ft 1 Heavy fast action.
  15. i got my cumara for 159 shipped.
  16. The Currado e7 feels great on my Cumara. Gotta match the brand names man! ;D
  17. welcome fellow michigander.
  18. The rods KVD actually uses are the "Quantum KVD Tour Signature Elite " not the Tour crankin' stick thats available at BPS. The Elite is available on his personal website and ***. I had the opportunity to check out a few of his rods that he had at the local fishing show with him. The Elite series is way different than the regular Tour rods. By the way I use the e21 Crankin Stix 7ft 2in and a Steez 100SHA with 15lb yozuri ultra soft copolymer.
  19. He gives the same info for free in multiple videos, you just gotta memorize it. I'd love to hear your reviews though.
  20. I absolutely LOVE my Evolution jigs, please if you don't want them i'd be more than happy to take them off of your hands. I absolutely despise the BPS branded hard baits, Any form of Chatterbait, and BitsyBug jigs. :-/
  21. A SOLID hook set, the initial swing then you connect with the fish and feel resistance and you KNOW it's a solid fish. That my friend is the best part. I just love it when you swing and connect with somethin' on the other end.
  22. Tournament days I pretend to be a gladiator and pick up a handful of sand and let it run between my fingers. ;D
  23. http://www.dnr.state.mi.us/SPATIALDATALIBRARY/PDF_MAPS/INLAND_LAKE_MAPS/MACOMB/STONY_CREEK_IMPOUNDMENT.PDF UPDATE NEW MAP FOUND a bit old but it gives a general idea of the bottom composition.
