  1. The 08 quantum energy is $89 in cabelas bargain cave. or the Pflueger president, have never used a supreme
  2. Anyone know if there are any aftermarket knobs for use with a Pflueger Patriarch? I have looked around but find mostly daiwa upgrades. Would these be able to be used with a Patriarch or any reel from a different manufacturer? If this is a no go, does anyone know of a handle that has a round hole in it, not one with flat sides?
  3. Yep...fat free shad no doubt...could be a fat free guppy or fry though
  4. seems like a neat bait...I wonder how sturdy the lip hinge is
  5. It's a toss up between an Ugly Stik lite and the BPS tourney special
  6. I wish the new formula came in a stick...much cleaner
  7. I'd take one any day of the week
  8. I don't think color of natural forage is that great of an issue...I have caught a few bass on a BPS royal shad bait, which is purple...I have never seen a purple fish anywhere here in Kentucky...
  9. Are they the Shaw Grigsby hooks? I bought some for tube fishing with weight inserts...haven't really used them the bait doesn't seem to stay on the hook, even with the little wire at the top
  10. If you are having trouble with the current reel and don't mind spending some money on another reel with a higher prece tag, I would recommend a pflueger patriarch. The patriarch has a dual braking system which makes it great to learn on. Can be setup to an almost thumbless cast. They run around 120-160 on ebay, 199 in store
  11. I don't think it smells of garlic at all...more of a dead shad type smell.
  12. If I were you looking in that price range, I would take a look at some Bass Pro rods like the Bionic Blade and the extreme, this gives you almost every size and action to pick from. For cranking I would say get a BPS Crankin stick, probably the best for the money. Depending on the sensitivity of the all star, I would say it could be used for texas rigs or spinnerbaits.
  13. That's what I first thought when I saw them
  14. I see nothing to provoke this question...Seeing that promo made me want a revo for a bit but I never took the plunge
  15. Hands down the energy, escpecially now that the can be bought for around $89-110 price range on ebay...I bought one for 89 before christmas for cranks and is a great reel...too bad I found a great deal on a Daiwa Sol which will take it's place if everything works out.
  16. 10-12lb CXX, or 12lb CX Premium or Flouro-clear
  17. It's definitely a soft bait that looks like it would have some good action. I bought two packs of these but have yet to try them out due to weather and it's just not time for plastics here yet....give it a few weeks for more stable, warmer weather and we'll see if they work. Anyone know about the "perfect plastic" in regards to whether it melts after being wet like the elaztech and 3x baits....hope not :-/
  18. No joke - some get huge! The NY record is 9-4! Compare that to the NY record SMB, LOL. Man that is a big shad
  19. Specs: http://www.damiki.co.kr/eng/sub.html?s=2_3&m=view&page=1&page_num=10&no=78 Had I seen this before I bought my dark angel, I think I would still have a dark angel...not a bad looking rod though...could do with a little length variety.
  20. $80....definately look the part but wonder how they perform?
  21. I think it is a tad obese
  22. I can't stand to hear her voice...she disagrees with everyone, no matter what the side. Have heard her yell and disagree with people who agree with her. I would love to get paid just to sit and complain about one single topic for months at a time...if you ask me all she really does is glorify whoever she talks about cause she doesn't know when to shut her trap.
