  1. I started with the 6'10'' MH-fast Gold and originally was going to be my standard rod for T-rigs(7'' worms, tubes, basic stuff) first impression was they must have sent me a MOD-FAST action rod...feels kinda spongey...has alot of back bone but starts way lower than my 6'9''MH-fast LTX which just replaced it. The first time out I fished a worm with it and it was ok but not stiff enough for me so I tied on a crank and BOOM!!! Know it has Daiwa Sol straddled on it for jerkbaits, shallow-medium running cranks, lipless, topwater...now I have a rod that I can feel the baits weight change ....sure beats a crankin stick
  2. Oh...had no idea...I usually associate the saltigo with saltwater...never thought about the Sol.
  3. definately an extreme...a quality reel at a great price
  4. Pretty much just another variation on a finesse worm. The flat head makes it easier to push up on a bait spike or screw lock. The idea is that the taper to the thin end gives it more action. Not a bad price for a 20pk. Give them a try, I'm sure they work...they are Zoom. can't post links to "another site" ......catchsmallfish....
  5. Same here...The fore grip is never an issue. 8-) same here the foregrip on my spinning rod is less than an inch...pretty much just enough for one finger
  6. maybe this http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10205125_100011009_100000000_100011000_100-11-9 or this http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10205129_100011009_100000000_100011000_100-11-9
  7. Have never seen paddle tail baits that only have tail movement. Every one I have fished has a wobble.
  8. Guinness, Bud Select, Miller Chill, and even though not a beer Strongbow
  9. Well I ordered one like a month or so ago from Cabelas to go with my Asaro that I bought at the same time but it has been back ordered forever.
  10. My suggestions would be either an Energy in the power 5.1 or a Curado E5.
  11. I love those videos The part with Rick Clunn is Great "Where's at Kitaro at?" "You know he's probably a martial arts expert."
  12. I don't have a revo or any JDM tackle but if I were to buy either...I would want it to be that reel. Have wanted it since I first saw it
  13. I personally don't care for the original president, don't like the aesthetics, don't like the size, don't like the profile...even though I have a supreme... I prefer the new profile better. I haven't fished a President 2 but I do own 3 Patriarchs and have handled the BPS Pro Qualifier which seems to be very similar with the exception of the DBS.
  14. From all my experiences, 4 pins engaged(on) with mag off should be fine with little to no backlash. If you are still having trouble turn the mag up and slowly work it off until you find a spot where you get maximum castability with minimal over run. The only other thing I can think of is cast control
  15. That sounds tough...I had planned on going out there Mon and bank fishing but with the limited access I may pass
  16. I hear a lot of talk about the hangers but personally have not had a bad experience
  17. one of the best videos ever
  18. No longer fit for formal use
  19. Sorry to hear about that, I hope everything goes well.
  20. They created those coffee injected plastics right??? Maybe the fish would like some nicotine to go with their caffeine : Nothing like a good smoke and cup of jo to start out a day of cruising banks
  21. It's a pretty good show. The bass fishing episodes are the best ones but the other species episodes are good too. It's a really neat idea for a show, really like the episodes in Chicago, Nashville, and D.C. Some of the best parts are his street interviews.
  22. I would suggest the upper line of Pfluegers in the President and Supreme reels. Haven't fished a Supreme but love my President, I use a size 40 which I have heard is a light saltwater reel and too larger for bass and that is just rubbish. A little heavy, around 11oz I believe, but has no hindrance on my ability to fish with it all day. It's a very smooth and tightly built reel and have heard even better about the supremes. I also just purchased an 08 Quantum Energy from Cabelas in the 30 size. Again it's a little big and heavy but around the same as the size 40 President.
