catching grass carp during the spawn
I've heard you can catch grass carp with sweet corn and native fruits and vegetables but for the most part I have been told a doughball type bait that is made of grass or weeds. Never really fished for them though, hear they are harder to catch than common carp.

To catch grass carp you need a vegetarian based bait

Baitcasting wannabe needs first reel advice
The summit is a nice reel but if you are gonna go Pflueger, go all the way and browse ebay for a Patriarch that can be found around the price of a Summitt

How long does it take you to get ready?
Depends, if I'm going alone, Just enough time to pick which rods I want to take. I don't have a boat so I fish from shore and the trunk of my car is one big tackle box. If I'm going out on someone else's boat, may take longer. Usually 2-3 hours the night before, sorting tackle, eliminating baits, and choosing and storing rods.

rod and reel
I would recommend Pflueger Presidents for the reels

Mojo bass rods.
why? chances are that it would have the same type of low-mid range blanks and components that the Mojo has... or just lower the price of a GL2

Deep Crankin Reel.
For $150, you should be able to find a Curado E7 on ebay for around that, I think mine was around that shipped.

I can't really think of a title for this..."The Greatest Combo Ever," maybe?
It's a casting rod.....no one specified whether it had to have a spincast or baitcast on it.... ...and it matches nicely

quantum reels - just recieved reel that i sent in for warranty
I would hope this isn't the case, but did they send you the same reel back?

Sebile Magic Swimmer and Spro BBZ Shad
What size is your magic swimmer? I don't know if that makes a difference but I have a 125 and it swims wonderfully. There's no way you could call it lifeless. Granted, the smallest piece of grass or gunk takes away the action, check and make sure your hooks are clear after every 3-5 casts or so if you are fishing it near the bottom. Also, what size line are fishing it on?

looking to get my first "good" rig
If the BPS Pro Qualifier rods are still on sale, which I don't think they are, but I use a 6'6''M PQ as an all around bank rod.

baitcaster vote, daiwa tierra or shimano citica 200e
I haven't had any experience with any of those actual reels but I have a Sol and Curado and am really looking at the Tierra as a possible addition. I don't think any off the reels would be a disappointment. My least favorite is probably the Rick Clunn. Personally, I would go for a Pro Qualifier if I were getting a Bass Pro reel it's a little more but I think it's a good choice. If you do any shopping on ebay I would look at the Pflueger Patriarchs, if you are at all interested in Pflueger, that's the one to get and that's where to get it.

New Strike King "Shim E Stick" Review
I have never even heard of these baits and that makes me sad because I love a good cheap stick bait..I wish they had them at the walmarts here

All around rod?
x2 on the 6'9''MH LTX

Anyone seen/heard of these?
That's what I was thinking...it probably is the color and the bait is most likely a meathead...I could be wrong though Meatheads aren't senko knockoffs. my mistake...was thinking of the new Mag finesse but typed meathead....couldn't remember the name and that was the first to come to mind

St. Croix???
I would say mojo...from my experience it seems a little bit stiffer and lighter than premier and I personally don't like the way the triumphs feel in hand

Pflueger supreme spinning reel?
Same boat as muddy, would recommend a President in a heart beat because that is what I have. If it's anywhere near as good as a president, which I have heard it is a great reel, then I don't think you can go wrong with one. All my pflueger reels, spinning and baitcasting, have preformed exceptionally well thus far and I have no complaints with the products at all. In short, I don't think there's a need to worry

Tough, low stretch mono
Don't try vicious, it's a waste of money, I know it cheap and you can tell. It's stiff, terrible manageability, and for large sizes, doesn't tie very well. I say go with a co-poly.

Lucky Craft RC 1.5
Two really good colors. Personally, I don't think there is a bad color with the RC baits. It makes it tough to pick. The copper perch looks wonderful in the water....good luck

Counting with pictures
- Tough, low stretch mono
Don't thnk you could go wrong with either P-Line or Yo-Zuri Hybrid. I have 12lb Yo-Zuri on my spinning set-up and it works great. The rest of my set-ups are filled with some sort of P-Line. I crank with 12lb Flouro-clear, 10-12lb CXX for spinnerbaits and t-rig, 15lb CX for jigs and big worms, and 20lb CXX for swimbaits. - Tough, low stretch mono
