  1. I just bought a 125 and a Strike King Sexy Swimmer the other day at the BPS in Sevierville. Really looking foward to throwing them.
  2. Small fish will cream 10'' worms. It's surprising but you'll get a lot of bluegill hits as well.
  3. add 3 inches and you are set e21 Carrot Stix LTX 6'9''MH. Extremely light and plenty of backbone
  4. There is also a 10% discount going through their mailer...I used it last night This is the link, it's their Rod and Reel Stimulus plan http://www.***.com/team/verify.html?pcode=TWSTIMULUS&qty=1
  5. The Crankin Stick is a fine rod and would recommend it to anyone that is in the market for a rod for crankbaits. My problem is that I switched from my 6'6''M Crankin Stick over to a 6'10''MH e21 Carrot Stix Gold and there IS a difference. The feel of the bait on the Gold is much more pronounced. You can feel perfectly well with a Crankin Stick but it's hard to tell grass from bite until you get a head shake. With the Gold slighter movements can be felt. I can tell the difference in wiggle between my baits. In all honesty I should be upset with the Carrot Stix, I bought it for worm fishing and, for my tastes, it is way to soft. When I first got it I was disappointed with it, until i stuck a Sol on it and started throwing crankbaits. Now, do I recommend buying a $200 crankbait rod? No, you don't need the extra sensitivity, it helps but is not necessary. At the price of the Crankin Sticks there is none better, I actually have two, one a 6'6''M that I have replaced and a 7'M for deep cranks. Buying a Crankin Stick is nothing to be weary of, there are better, but none at the price you would pay for one. BTW, are they still on sale? If so get it...not a bad blow if you want to upgrade later.
  6. It is surprisingly sensitive man! I can feel every vibration of a Rat-L-Trap while using 12lb mono! That's what I originally thought but after switching to my Carrot Stix Gold, I can't look at my Crankin Stick the same way again :-/
  7. Yep. And a close second is Where the Red Fern Grows This is so true
  8. 3 days from Cal. to Ky. 2 if shipped same day. how is this bad
  9. Don't have a pic...thought I did but guess not... Caught a 6-7'' bass on a Heddon Original Zara Spook when I fish started fishing spooks. To be honest, I was glad it hit it. Was kinda affraid that smaller bass wouldn't hit such a bait but I know better now
  10. I'm gonna suggest one of the *** spinnerbaits with the thumper blades. Just bought a few when russ put them up cheap and man are they nice. Talk about putting out vibrations. I bought a 1oz with a size 6 and 5 blades to try for musky and threw it a little sunday and boy does it haul water. Definitely a good night time spinner. not the actual bait I purchased, that one is 3/4oz If you're looking at bait that you can get from say walmart or somewhere like that...Booyah makes a moon talker and strike king makes a midnight special
  11. I'll take them KOs for $20 ;D no kidding
  12. I just bought an 08 Energey E30PTi-A from cabelas and really like it. The Tour would be a great choise too for a little more. I would also suggest you also take a look at the Pflueger President and Supreme.
  13. Damiki makes a two piece
  14. The Mojo would definitely be a good choice. If there is a BPS near, the Proqualifiers are still on sale for $99. IMO one of the best deals you can get at BPS
  15. yeah...just want to educate them... ;D
  16. That was pretty close to my pattern list for Sunday. All our fish were on ledges that transitioned from 10-12 to 35 feet. Started with a Fat Free Shad then got them on a Drop-shot and shakey head. I can't say that I have enough confidence to just throw one bait. It's gonna be a series of baits, then stick with what works until it doesn't and then change
  17. You get this one cause you're new
  18. Just as you would a tube. That's all they are, a tube with pinchers that looks like a crawdad
  19. BPS still makes some balsa baits as well
  20. I just bought an Energy E30PTI-A from Cabelas and really like the reel. I would have bought the Tour but the blue didn't match the red on my Damiki Dark Angel. I would get the Tour and not worry about the energy.
