  1. I personally don't care for the revolution shad. the one I have is a fast fall and tends to swim on it's side when reeled faster than a small crawl. I like the magic swimmers, and the tru-tungsten
  2. As far as I'm concerened, to be a world record, you gotta beat her
  3. cxx isn't ideal for spinning equipment...I use yo-zuri hybrid on my spinning reel
  4. I have a big Zip-Loc bag full of berkley power worms that my dad bought at least 10 years ago
  5. Lucky Craft RC 1.5 Norman Thin N Strike King series 5 Bomber/Excalibur Fat Free Shad Norman Deep Little N
  6. Either a zara puppy or a super spook jr
  7. Great looking baits, have a 4" and a 7" monster, both in bluegill. My only complaint is the finish isn't very durable. The jackall giron looks very good as well. Stay away from the reaction strike revolution shad and gills, I have one of each and they swim on their sides any faster than a crawl.
  8. 12 lb test CXX will uproot a stump, with more you can uproot the entire tree. And we ain 't kiddin ', it 's true ! I straightened an o-ring today on 12lb cxx
  9. X2 P-line is pretty much my line of choice. 12 lb cxx is small enough for good casting but will straighten light wire hooks. For t-rigs I would also suggest 12lb cx or flouro-clear.
  10. have this one and it is a very good player. Phillips makes some good ones as well
  11. I know it's a tough job, I don't think I could do it, had friend have a nervous breakdown 2 months on the job with fedex. And I didn't start an " I hate ups thread, I was just wondering why signing the paper didn't result in me having a revo toro yesterday or today.
  12. doesn't signing the back of the notice serve as a signature for delivery? I've been waiting on a package to be delivered and I signed the first notice and put it in the door, don't get home early enough for delivery and they won't deliver after 5 here, no big deal...then I get a second notice. So, I signed the second notice and TAPED it to the door with the first and a note to leave the package under a bench on the porch. Get home and there is a final notice for delivery stuck ON THE NOTE. I just don't get it, I thought that the point of signing the notice was so that it could be left at the door. I'm not bashing UPS, first real problem I've had, at least they won't leave it if a signature is needed. I just really want my package and now I have to wait till next week when I can go get it
  13. Stay away from viscious that stuff is junk. P=Line is going to be your best bet. It does have some memory but will make up for it where it counts. Not too sure about Evolution, have some but not used it. CX is great line, a little more manageable than CXX but CXX will uproot trees in larger sizes.
  14. Wiggle warts are definitely a bait to have. My dad would never go walleye fishing without a Mag Wart.
  15. I have literally had fish repelled by gulp stinking minnows....It may be crack for smallmouth but it's a largemouth repellent
  16. here's a daiwa tierra http://www.***.com/descpageRDCDAIWA-DTFR.html
  17. Bass Pro or Cabelas rods are probably going to be your best bet. The 7'9'' H Mojo is $119 and a 7'2''H Daiwa Iaconelli rod is also $119. I use a 7'6'' H Castaway Big Show that I got for $99 from Tackle Warehouse.
  18. I have one of the long skinny Tupperware containers that I use to store the boxes of my reels and they go in them, in the box, under the bed for winter
  19. I'm not a good jig fisherman, I give up on it too easy and switch to a T-rig or tube instead. I really don't understand why I give up so easy. I also don't know why I don't like a carolina rig, never really fished one but I can't make myself fish one....but I need to I'm also bias against the physical appearance of baits, whether shape or colors. I don't like big dead ringers and some of my buddies are killing them on them right now. Also don't like bright crank baits or worms with chartreuse, but I'm working on that on.
  20. I'm not a fan of the way the catch22 looks but I have never fished one. If you fish clear lakes then the Ultimate Bluegill would be a great choice because it is so life like in appearance. I was fishing a male ultimate bluegill the other day and had smaller bluegills following behind on just about every cast. I don't think you can go wrong with any of Matt's baits If you are looking at getting some hard baits I would recommend the Tru-Tungsten Tru-life 4'' baits. I just recently bought some of the reaction strike REVolution shad and bluegill baits and would advise paying the extra for Tru-Tungsten and Spro baits
  21. I would probably a few of the RC's, a few pointers, and a sammy or two. With the Lucky Craft baits, at least for me, the color choice is the hardest part
  22. A roadwarrior said, the fatboy is more comparible to the square a with the larger girth. The thin n is a very slender, almost flat-sided bait, where the square a is rounder. This difference in size cause a difference in action. BTW, the thin n is my crankbait of choice for 6-8' range.
