Appreciate any help choosing a baitcasting reel as a gift, clicker and flipper required
As far as I know, most Daiwa reels can be engaged by manually moving the thumb bar which works like a flipping switch. I've never used this feature or a flipping switch but I also have heard good things about shimanos instage system.

for me it's just easier to use, I have small hands so it's easier to palm. The buddy I sold the 2 WLP reels to has big hands and prefers the WLP over the LP. It's all just what's comfortable.

yep, I've got 2 narrow spool reels, had 3 wide spools but sold them, two to a buddy, one to a member here. Great reels, I won't buy anymore at retail ppricing but I'm not selling the ones I have.

Tube jigs in rocks
There's not alot you can do about getting hung in rocks, other than buying more baits and terminal. I find them less prone to hanging up when rigged texposed with a internal weight but more so when using a jighead.

When he's winning and placing, I guarantee you he's not using a Tessera. Bet he is, ever seen him fish, it's like he's fishing with a wet noodle most of the time, the rest of the time it's that monster 8' pencil. He also lost and missed alot of fish this year on those rods- drop shot...what knot??

ehhhh...the spinnerbait rod seems like it would be a good cranking rod...I would choose the Vendetta over the Tessera rods- Koppers Live Target Pumpkinseed? What your take on them?
I like them, I have 2 or 3 in different sizes. They have a nice profile and a tight wobble.- Ideas on should i get a Johnny Morris Reel?
The standard price for the Sig is now $119 I believe....I could be wrong but it's a heck of a reel for near $100.- Hard to wacth

My guess is you lost a spacer somewhere but I really don't know. It seems like I had the same problem with one of my Sols the first time I broke it down.- What kinda truck you got?
