  1. As far as I know, most Daiwa reels can be engaged by manually moving the thumb bar which works like a flipping switch. I've never used this feature or a flipping switch but I also have heard good things about shimanos instage system.
  2. usually 1/8-3/16, sometimes a 1/4 but only with strong wind.
  3. for me it's just easier to use, I have small hands so it's easier to palm. The buddy I sold the 2 WLP reels to has big hands and prefers the WLP over the LP. It's all just what's comfortable.
  4. yep, I've got 2 narrow spool reels, had 3 wide spools but sold them, two to a buddy, one to a member here. Great reels, I won't buy anymore at retail ppricing but I'm not selling the ones I have.
  5. There's not alot you can do about getting hung in rocks, other than buying more baits and terminal. I find them less prone to hanging up when rigged texposed with a internal weight but more so when using a jighead.
  6. That's the rod I use for spinnerbaits, a tad heavy but the best action and power combination I have found.
  7. When he's winning and placing, I guarantee you he's not using a Tessera. Bet he is, ever seen him fish, it's like he's fishing with a wet noodle most of the time, the rest of the time it's that monster 8' pencil. He also lost and missed alot of fish this year on those rods

  9. ehhhh...the spinnerbait rod seems like it would be a good cranking rod...I would choose the Vendetta over the Tessera rods
  10. I like them, I have 2 or 3 in different sizes. They have a nice profile and a tight wobble.
  11. The standard price for the Sig is now $119 I believe....I could be wrong but it's a heck of a reel for near $100.
  12. Holy crap on a cracker. I am not scared of heights but there's no way I could do that. Actually got a little light headed and queezy just watching that.
  13. casting and retrieving various lures
  14. Tough one..... The Spill Canvas - One Fell Swoop
  15. I don't get it....Tackle Warehouse...was that so hard...I'd go for one of the regular LTX Carrot Stix on sale
