Here ya go cabin peeps.
We just got another 8" of snow this afternoon. It's dark now, kids are out of school on vacation with new sleds and junk. The neighborhood is lit up in white Xmas lights, main st looks like a postcard. After dinner, the golf courses and local hills will get crowded with kids wrapped in all kinds of winter gear......... sleds, toboggans, and cafeteria trays ready to go as soon as they finish building the ramp at the bottom. Moms with hot chocolate, skating on frozen ponds, fires in the snow to warm up by, building snowmen, snowball fights...........I could go on Right now, I'm sipping a hot chocolate with Rumple Minze and heavy whipped cream, getting ready to head out into the fun myself. My point is, we fish 8-9 months a yr and then have all this stuff too,....when do you guys get to go sledding?? Y'all think we have it bad but I honestly feel for anyone who misses out on days like this. I understand some people need warm weather for health reasons but geez,...if Muddy can handle it..... : Keep on catchin' em boys, I'm goin' sleddin'

winds
Maybe you just aren't applying what you already know. Look for the complete opposite areas of what works with a N wind. Ex: We have a flat that comes out off the bank,...theoretically, it's more like a rectangle of a point. So this means it has 3 sides that slope to deeper water, the E,N,and S sides. South wind, the fish set up on the N slope, catching food as it comes over the flat and off the other side. North wind and they are on the S slope. When approaching these things, pay attention to the direction you are casting also. You want to present the bait the same as the natural food is coming, unfortunately, this often means casting into the wind. Fortunately,....it works Just something to think about. On a completely different note, it could be the front associated with this wind direction. Where I live (New England), a N wind is the tougher bite but it's because of the front associated with it. A N wind is usually a cold front.

Never left in spirit but I'm back just the same
A few folks have noticed my absence and and have PM'd me or called with concerns. I appreciate that but all is well, it was just a crazy season at UPS this yr. With my new job position and people like Tin taking 10 months off for a spider bite :, things were a bit hectic. But rest assured, the season is over and I will now have plenty of time to concentrate on the more important aspects of life. HAWG HUNTIN'!!! So I apologize for the dropped PM's, the unreturned calls and all the fumbles this season has brought me but I'm back and am looking forward to making 2009 a season to remember. BR growth and new aspects of my store are 2 of the things I'm looking forward to. Also, being given more responsibilty over at the CAST for kids HQ will have me spreading that word full force. I have some COOOOOOL stuff up my sleeve and can't wait to share it wilth all of you who have helped in the past and all who will be coming on fresh this year. So with that,....it's back to business. Happy Holidays to all and again, thanks to my friends for their concerns. Kentucky, Here we come!!!!

Fresh Paint
Be forwarned, I think they are hardened so they'll only be good for replacing the hook hangers and the nose eye, not the body joint

The Official 'Post What You Got For Christmas' Thread
Single life sucks during the holidays, lol. The bad news--I got squat The good news- I didn't need anything, lol Being able to sleep for more than 4 hrs was a gift in itself though. The highlight of my holidays was telling the folks at Camp Hope (Amer Cancer Society) that we will be taking over their fishing derby this yr,....BassResource/C.A.S.T. For Kids style. Supplying all new gear, prizes and volunteers.

People Change: Even Best Friends (Need Advice)
I agree fully with Mike here. Granted, he is probably RACKED with stress right now and the booze didn't help but if his opinion is the same after a little time, sobering, and heart to heart discussion....it may not be worth saving. Sad, but as your title suggests,....people DO change.

car sound system
Cart, This should bring you back,...my first "real" deck. Tap into a pair of Jensen 6x9's and you're rolllin' large, lol Back then, modifying house speakers was the big thing. Funny. Cart, you would REALLY enjoy sitting in one of todays top end sound quality show cars. It would blow your mind to hear how far sound has come in the digital age. I know where you are coming from, speaker technology hasn't changed much and power will always be power, but the difference these days is signal strength (new amps can be fed up to 17 volts!!) and signal processing. (THX, Dolby 5.1,6.1, etc)
- Car speakers.

Skipping a grade!!!
Well, you and I have been at odds since day 1 but a little explanation can go a long way. From now on, I will view your interactions as a teacher would, or a parent. I will force you to face your grammar and spelling issues with support and testing and will put my previous frustrations in check. Be prepared, if you want to spend as many hours here as you do, it will now become work. Work that will improve your chances for success in this world, once you become an adult. I encourage others to join in and support him with CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, if that's not possible, please just hold your tongue on the whole topic. Lesson 1- I modified your signature,...NEVER put that much REAL personal info online, for obvious reason.

car sound system
LBH is probably right that you have a wire crossed, if the problem is happening while you have your vehicle off, but just to make sure, you are not having problems with the lights dimming as you are driving are you? If so, you may need a capacitor. Protocol for dimming lights would be to first upgrade the "big 3" if you still have dimming, add a cap. Gen rule for caps- 1/2 or (.5) farad per 500 watts MINIMUM. More is better here. ex: I have a 7200 watt system (if I push everything in the car which I don't), I run a 10 farad block

Is it wrong? need some opinions...
IMO, this is all that really matters. If you're just looking for a play thing to help pass time,...then pass this one up. If you really like her, approach him and tell him how you feel. Respect goes a long way. Trust me, it's worth more than you think, take it from a guy who sacrificed some recently.

car sound system
Tell him to invest in some sound dampening for the trunk (Dynamat, brownbread, B-Quiet,etc),...no one wants to hear that pounding rattle. Don't forget to do the back of the plate especially. You would be surprised what a single 12 with the right install is capable of, let alone 2. They can break glass, plastic, make you puke, etc. Doesn't mean it sounds good though. My specialty is "sound quality" an actual class in competition. If you're looking to build Db's, I know the basics but I'm not your guy. If you want it to sound like you're there,...that's me I lol'd at puke, it must be my age but theres a young guy at work that has some big money tied into the system in his Ford Ranger, and when he drives by me in the lot, I can feel the bass through out my entire body, and yes it makes me feel like Im going to puke. Im at the age now where I like my music crystal clear, crisp, and clean. www.aperionaudio.com Aperion's are beautiful. There is a whole different level in car audio that speaks to the audiophile like Aperion does to the home owner but it's extremely costly. Again, install is everything. Brands like Focal, Rainbow, Brax,ARC audio, etc, are only as good as their installation. Most would not tell the difference between many of these ultra high end products and the regular high end stuff from companies like JL,Pioneer, Alpine, etc As for throwing up,...it's very easy. You need to build a box with a specific sweetspot. I forget the exact freq. You don't even need it loud. This is something the military has played with also but it's not easy to build a wave in the wide open as opposed to inundated a small chamber with it (like a car) there are other frequencies for "other" things also, lol. Things only adults should know so we'll move on... :-?

bass has NOTHING to do with rap,....all music has bass. (Well,...Yanni might not, but I'll never know, lol) It's when you isolate those frequencies and elevate them above all the others (as many young kids do when they want to "thump" their rap) that it sounds like that. Makes me laugh. A good system addresses all the frequencies and their balance. All music has highs, mids, lows and sub lows.

You need to pull the deck out and rewire it again. You have the orange and red wires crossed (Might be a yellow one instead of red). This gives you constant power "on" as opposed to a triggered power such as "accessory on" Download the schematic for your trucks stock system and make sure everything matches up. I HIGHLY recommend a wire harness adapter for your exact vehicle. Takes all the guess work out and it very easy to install, just pay attention when u do. One more thing Frog,...what the heck did you buy for $700?? There may be more there than you need but we can play with that, what is it? (brand/model)
