  2. From the CAST event down the Cape this weekend. HUNTER
  3. Right on!! Congrats Sarge!!
  4. same brand as my boat!! Only other one I've seen. Mine is a 1964 jon, look at the serial number, the last 2 digits are the year, I'm curious what yours is. PS those seats are PERFECT for carpeting!! (The lip allows for a clean, finished edge)
  5. look closer
  6. Wanna talk Jeeps? check THIS out
  7. Gotchya. No, it was more the case of the condition. Bluebird, no wind. We needed to keep moving, looking for the last of the bedding fish as everything else that wasn't a Pickerel, had lock jaw. Also, it looks like a lot of boat control going on but that is only because it is all done by hand, from a standing position, so, you see it all. If I were using a bow mount w/ a foot control, it would have been much less noticeable but .....how "Low Budget" would that be I must ask, lol.
  8. It just offers a few more "angler friendly" variables, like the ones catt mentioned, covering mistakes, etc Some others are Less pressure. Especially a new body, it's like completely virgin water if you are the first lunatic to show up there at 10pm and stay till morn. These fish are ALL YOURS! A mindset that only adds to your confidence and enjoyment of the experience. many creatures come alive at night, new food offerings are introduced to fish as night approaches. Just like lunch and dinner are 2 very similar yet completely different things to us. Eggs are great but ribs are good once in awhile too,lol Relating back to the pressure aspect. I think some of the larger class got that way by hunting under the stealth of night. Creeping. No "Birds of prey" at night. Another + to a fish when stalking in the shallows GREAT ambush potentials. I think the smarter, bigger bass recognize those prime ambush locations and watch their value multiply as the darkness approaches More vulnerable prey. With the darkness, I think some of the fish that bass feed on may have a false confidence that a bass can capitalize on.
  9. Perhaps, and I'm just stipulating here, perhaps there is more available area to release a bear where it would be far enough away to not return than an alligator. Perhaps they have a higher relocation rate, they may be more capable of adapting to new environments.
  10. Anchor?? I have a small Danforth and 2 diff size wind anchors,........on board. Didn't need them. Usually if a good wind picks up I'll start by tossing the small drift sock and tying the danforth around my waist to keep my skinny butt in the boat ;D Did you see a part where I needed an anchor??
  11. It's not the tackle draining your pockets, it's all that green hair dye. :
  12. RIGHT ON RANGER DUDE!!!
  13. That's just karma to me,...not everyone thinks of the next guy who has to stick his hand in the bin. It could have been some kid and then they'd have a nice lawsuit on their hands. Simple reward for a simple good deed. Catch 'em up
  14. 2 reasons,....prior commitments and I really don't need the money that bad right now ;D 8-)
  15. I'm old but refuse to admit it. I got a couple wrong on purpose... ;D
  16. Not to be discouraging, but I wouldn't. I won't add anything to a 10, a 12 is a different story, but not a 10.
  17. wild gamefish weren't meant to be kept for pets, get a farm raised Oscar. Feeding a bass in captivity isn't easy, he wants 2/3 his body weight in food EVERY day. Please don't keep one (Illegal or not) if you don't plan on working every day to support it.
  18. Welcome Home buddy, this thread is long overdue. Thanks for letting us be a part of your mission, we appreciate all you've done. Enjoy your family and your new toys, you've earned it. At Ease soldier.
  19. I'm sure they appreciate that : ;D
  20. ahhhh,...ya bunch of non romantics....... : ;D :-*
  21. A first and last I had no hand in the editing on this one,lol I thought I was safe with a "New York City" based production crew........ With love, -The Yankee (FYI, for those who aren't aware, my aversion to country music is a well known thing here on the board, we aren't being mean, lol )
