  1. I just noticed tonight that when I hit the brakes, my trailer's left turn signal activates. Everything else works normally. What could be causing this? Thanks.
  2. It says in my manual to use a 60 amp breaker for 50-55 lb. thrust models. Anyway, like I said, I used a 50 amp breaker.
  3. Thanks everyone for helping this non-electrically inclined guy do this. I just finished, and the motor actually still works!! I've use trolling motors for 30 years, and I've never used a circuit breaker. The shop owner insisted that I'd be fine with a 50 amp breaker, so that's what I used. He also said a 55 lb. motor uses about 45 amps on high. Does that sound right?
  4. Nice. Is that the one with the square back?
  5. The boat store sold me 2 yellow rings to crimp on, and a 50 amp breaker. But I get home and my manual tells me to use a 60 amp breaker for my 55 lb. thrust motor. So now I need to find a 60 amp breaker. Does anyone know the gauge wire the Minn Kota Endura 55 lb. thrust uses? After I crimp on the 2 connectors and connect them to the breaker, do I need to waterproof the connection? Thanks.
  6. Thanks. So I don't need any additional wire, other than the original motor wiring?
  7. I haven't had any luck finding a pic on how to wire this. Anyone? Yes, I'm still confused.
  8. Can anyone tell me how to wire a circuit breaker for my new trolling motor, or point me to a link with pics? I have the Minn Kota Endura 55 lb. thrust. Thanks.
  9. I don't know how to post a pic, but I'll see if my daughter can figure it out. Yes, it's a couple inches higher. What you do is remove the small U-bolts on the bottom of the Bass Raider's seats, and use them to mount the pedestal seat base to the seat frame. I also bought the pedestal seat base from Walmart. This allows me to use the same seat in my bigger boat and this one.
  10. Generally, how is the bass fishing here? Is it good most of the year, or just certain months? Is it mainly "deep water" fishing? We're looking into Page, AZ as a possible retirement move down the road. Thanks.
  11. Definitely check into the title thing. And it needs a lot of work. It's that cheap for a reason.
  12. Thanks. I'll check it out. I checked Minn Kota's website, but I can't find any locks.
  13. I just bought a new Minn Kota Endura trolling motor, and my old lock won't fit it. It's got much larger knobs on it. Does anyone know where I can find a lock to fit it? Thanks.
  14. Have you ever heard of an "old wive's tale"? Well, that's an old "grandfather's tale"?
  15. For someone with back problems/soreness, would a sit-in or sit-on-top kayak be better? Easier to get on and off, etc? What's a good kayak forum to learn more about them, and how to customize them? Thanks.
  16. Nice. Did you wind up buying a new boat?

I never used these. What's the best way to fish it?
  18. I have the 8' Pelican Bass Raider which is great. The Coleman is basically the same thing. But I would never have a second person in the boat, even a small kid. It's not the weight, there's just no room.
  19. I keep them in the original bags, and keep the bags in a small Igloo cooler(the type designed to hold one 6-pack).
  20. "The tire rubbed against the side of the boat". Is there any damage? If so, what? You can't do better than free. 2 new tires/wheels are cheap.
  21. I agree. By the time you buy outriggers, you'd be better off buying a Jon with a 48" wide floor.
  22. I found a number to call for Walmart.com and spoke to someone. After going back and forth for 10 minutes, she couldn't help me. There's no way to choose between the 36" shaft and 42" shaft. Great website design.
