BPS Johnny Morris spinning reel
mine only goes back maybe one fourth of an inch, but I noticed what you meant about the clicking. very annoying. For a 100 dollars your much better off with a symetre or a supreme, but for 80 dollars, its a nice looking reel, im pretty impressed with the quality of the reel.

BPS Johnny Morris spinning reel

Flipping mono or braid
i like flipping everything light. On one of my rigs I have spooled 20# fireline tracer braid and the other the same execpt 40#. I'll usually start of with the 20# and if it has really thick vegetation or has alot more snags, Ill switch to 40. I have a flouro leader on both of them.

Suffix Elite or Trilene XL
i use suffix siege and its the best ive used. strens not bad either

broken rod
the same thing happened to me yesterday. my rod was originally 6'6" now its 5' 9". one of my favs. warrenty expired.shimano crucial.

good shakin combo?
you could get a pretty nice set up for a 100 dollars. st. croix triumph and diawa capricorn(dick's version of the exceler) great deal!

Need spinning rod suggestions...
both crucial and the avid, are really good rods. my 7' m crucial is slightly lighter than my 7' avid. but if i had to pick one it would def. be the avid. you could get a pretty nice setup at dicks for 100. triumph + diawa capricorn(dicks version of the exceler) got a couple the other day. great rod and reel for the money, considering the reel costs 90 dollars alone.

Which mono doesnt get memory fast?
i love the sufix seige, but never tried the elite. what are the key differences between the two and which do u like better. From all the monos i've used. I like sufix and stren. stren tends to be more strechy.

20lb braid for baitcaster
suffix and power pros are both good braid. But berkley really stepped it up with the new fireline braid. unlike the original fireline thrash. its round and very smooth. it wont dig in your spool as other braid would do. I got it in tracer color, really easy to keep track of where my line is, I just put a flourocarbon leader for visibility issues. michael

BPS vs. Cabela's ?
I'm thinking about getting a 7' MH, XMLTi Muski rod and going to use it for bass fishing. It's on sale for $80.
-
BPS vs. Cabela's ?
whats the warranty on Cabelas rods? because I know Bps's are one year but not sure about cabelas. I'm choosing a private label Because I wanted to try out the recoil guides and going with either the XMLTi or the Johnny Morris elite is the cheapest way. other rods with recoil guides, such as St Croix Extreme and Kistlers are all in the $350 range also because they go on big sales where you can buy them cheap.

BPS vs. Cabela's ?
I'm looking to get a couple rods for this year, and decided to get one of BPS's or Cabela's high end rods with the recoil guides. and I was wondering if any of you tryed this rods out and how they felt. I want to make the right choice, considering they only have 1 year warranty on them.

reel oil substitute=WD-40?
I'm about to clean my reels and reoil them, but can't find my reel oil. I keep looking around and I can't find it anywhere and I see a can of WD-40 on a shelf. So my question is, would it be bad to reoil it with WD-40? Its not going to be one of my high end reels. just my revo s.
