  1. For spinnerbaits: For square bills: Hope that helps!
  2. ^^ This ^^ plus a Rubbermaid container that looks like this: Then you pour it overboard. Simple and effective.
  3. I do all the annual maintenance stuff in the late fall/early winter. Boat is stored inside an insulated garage. Even when it's well below freezing outside (like it is this morning), it never gets colder than 55 degrees. For that reason, plus I do go fishing during the winter, I don't fog the engine. I do hit the batteries with a quick charge every week or two to top them off, but never leave it on continual trickle-charge. I burned through 2 chargers in 5 years doing that, but I've had the current charger for 10 years since I stopped that practice.
  4. Bear in mind, when you delete a photo, it becomes a broken image in every post you placed it.
  5. Odd, I thought I had enabled it. Just did it now. Please try again.
  6. Yup, click on one of your galleries, then an image. In the upper right there's a gear icon. Click that and one of the options in the resulting menu is "delete".
  7. Thanks man! Much appreciated. Apology accepted! (fyi, it's been removed)
  8. So a couple things: Most boat insurance out-of-the-box doesn't cover anything that's "portable", such as electronics, rods/reels, and tackle. Some do, but only a very small amount (under 1K). Many people don't know that theft of these items may be covered under their home owners or renter's insurance. It's the same situation for auto insurance, which covers your car but not the belongings...but your home owners or renter's insurance does. So if somebody breaks your window to steal your laptop, the auto insurance will cover the broken window, but not the laptop, but your other insurance might. YMMV, so check your policy. And if you rent and don't have renter's insurance, then you're out a laptop. You CAN add a "rider" to your boat insurance to cover the cost of electronics and fishing equipment up to X dollar value (mine is 25K). Of course you need to prove you owned that much equipment if you file a claim. Note, too, there are other clauses and add-ons that you should look into to see if you have enough coverage, such as salvage coverage, fuel spill coverage, consequential damage coverage, and on-the-water towing coverage. Some insurance policies don't have these, or lump them together with, say, total repair costs, which means there might not be enough coverage to pay for the combined expenses when they do that. Bottom line, boat insurance can get expensive. But cutting corners or getting "cheap" insurance is no bargain if you need to use it. The worst time to find out you don't have coverage, is when you need it most.
  9. Pro Tip: If you don't store your boat outside for the winter and therefore don't winterize it, then go get your "spring tune up" now. Most shops are really slow this time of year, so you can get your boat in and out within a day or two instead of waiting weeks to get your boat "ready" for spring. Not only that, but you don't have a long wait for parts if you need them. I always do my annual work and repairs in late fall or early winter, and usually get "the confused dog" look by the shop because they're accustomed to doing it in the spring when everyone else does it. I just got my boat back from the trailer shop to have the bearings, wiring and worn suspension parts replaced. Took only two days. Not everyone can swing it, because they must winterize their boat. But for those of us with garages or warmer climates where we don't need to winterize the boat for storage, then this is great time to beat the lines!
  10. Funny you say that. When I talk to the pros, every single last one of them to a "T" say they know about us and frequent the site & forums often. They wouldn't do that if they weren't learning something new with each visit. Some have confessed to me they're active members here. But can you get them to toss out a shoutout every now and then? Nope. I think they fear repercussions from BASS and MLF if they mention us. Note they don't mention other major bass fishing sites either for the same reason, so it's not just us.
  11. Attention passengers! Tangent Airlines now departing!

  14. Plano has the Edge terminal tackle box, which I have and really like! They also have the Flex series that's extremely configurable. I just got a couple and am looking forward to using them:
  15. Hey guys, we've been getting hit hard by spammers recently, and all their posts contain links to shady websites. So all posts that have links need to be reviewed and approved by a moderator. That said, I've been building an ever-expanding list of "good" links that are frequently posted here, and those posts automatically pass through. So if your post goes into "moderation", it just means the link hasn't been added to the list yet. Hope that helps!
  16. This is goodness.
  17. I tried the original Fireline, and didn't like it because it was too stiff and it frayed. But then I tried the Ultra-8 and had a different experience. Here's my review: https://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/fireline-ultra-8-review.html
  18. Well, that might be true for other brands, but Seaguar makes their own fluorocarbon resin designed specifically for fishing line. They invented fluorocarbon fishing line. They make their own line. So they control the quality end-to-end. They're the only fluorocarbon line manufacturer that does this. Other line manufacturers purchase the resin from 3rd parties.
  19. Ya, I can see that. Kinda glad they ignore the West for this reason.
  20. https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/bass-2021-elite-schedule-12320.html Great news if you live near a place where they've held events many, many times before. But if you're hoping for something new, or something even remotely west, well, you're outta luck again!
  21. Are you still getting the emails or has the problem gone away?
  22. A few warnings, yes. But "bannings"? Nope. You're still here. Obviously, because you're still posting away. When somebody is banned, that's it. They're done here.
  23. Definitely white. Matches the boat. Plus water spots and dirt really show up well on black.
