  1. Hi Harold, Believe it or not, bass can and do spawn more than once per year. I've seen them spawning as late as November. And we're less than a week away from the next full moon. So yes, it's very possible this fish is spawning. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.
  2. Hey guys, First I want to thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it immensely. I also want to include the mods in the accolades, because they put in a lot of hard work here, and they're why things run so well. Second, the updates didn't go as planned, and so we had to revert. We're back to how things were. But not to worry. It just means we need to go at it from another angle. Which means it's going to be a few weeks before we'll do this again. But this time it will go much smoother, with very little down time if any at all. More to come....
  3. When my wife and I were dating, I introduced her to bass fishing and took her out in my aluminum boat a few times. When I asked her if she wanted to go again, she said, "I don't think so". I thought, "Okay....here we go..." And then she said, "I like fishing with you, but if we're going to do this more often, you're going to need to get a bigger boat. There's not enough room and storage for me in your boat." I went ring shopping the next day. LOL
  4. What is this fascination with wacky rigging and O rings? I think you've had a thorough education on wacky rigging now. And scene.....
  5. Is it THE surprise? Nope.
  6. Hey guys, Just a heads up that we'll be upgrading the server and many back-end functions Friday night. During this time, there will be periods when the site will be down. Don't fret! This is a normal part of the process, and is expected. There's a possibility the down time may be for an extended time, but know that means we're working on it already with the intent of getting everything back online as quickly as possible. The upgrades are necessary as the server's core operating system and associated features are reaching end-of-life. Updating everything is not only required, but also enables us to provide future enhancements. This upgrade will not affect the website in any way, except that you may notice faster page loads. Aside from that, you will not notice any changes after the upgrade. Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding. We'll do everything possible to do this as quickly as possible. Glenn

  16. Okay, I see what you're saying. You want the lure to stay on the bottom, motionless, which isn't what a dropshot does. So for this, you can either put it on a splitshot or Carolina rig, or rig it with a football jig. Wacky rigging it doesn't really work here, because it's designed for a falling action, not dead sticking on the bottom. Hope that helps!
  17. ^^ This ^^ It's a confusing topic. Simply because brand A, B, and C reels/rods are made by the same factory doesn't mean they're exactly identical, as many believe. Most of the time, these are made "to spec", which means the components are different, even if they look identical. Wha?? Like I said, confusing. Take reels for example. These factories have a huge inventory of parts, and often of different quality and materials. They don't have just one bearing, but dozes of different types of bearings. Same with gears and other components. They may have a gear that appears to be the same, but there's 3 grades of that gear, each with different quality or tolerance levels. And then the same gear made from different materials/specs. There's at least 5,000 internal component choices when you do the matrix. And there's no shortage of companies that offer these white-label wholesale services. Bottom line, they may "look" the same, and may be made by the same factory, but that doesn't mean they're always exactly identical.

Yup, deleting cookies and history will do it. But also if you have your browser and/or anti-virus program set to block, or not accept cookies, that will do it too.
  19. NFC West sweeps it this week. They have a combined 7-1 in 2 weeks. It's still early, but they're turning out to be the toughest division in the NFL again.
  20. Why yes, yes we do have several articles about this: https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/tagging-bass.html https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/tagging-fish.html https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/radion-tagging-fish.html https://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/fishtagger.html And yes, they have links and phone numbers to several companies that provide tags...possibly some you didn't know about.
  21. You have a short period of time to edit a comment, after which is becomes permanent. So if you try to edit it several hours later, you can't. That's why sometimes you see it, and other times you don't.
  22. What was your first car? I'll start: A 1975 Mercury Cougar. I used to call it "The USS Cougar" because the hood was so big, I literally had to lay on it to wash the middle or clean the windshield. It also seated 8 comfortably, no joke. Ya, I know. It looks like a pimp mobile. LOL! I bought it because it was $800 and it ran. It had power windows, power seats, power mirrors, cruise control...lot's of other "extras". It was a massive beast. Way too much car for me. The shocks were shot and it had a lot of electrical issues. Let's just say I don't miss it. LOL
  23. Wow! What a relief! But 26 days???
