Fuzzy Baits - I called it!
ICAST hasn't even started yet, but several companies have already announced entries into the "fuzzy bait" category - a term I coined back in December when I predicted many companies would be coming out with "fuzzy baits". Now they're all calling their new baits "Fuzzy" something. LOL Here it is as a reminder:

Hobie Hull Float Glasses
I didn’t expect my favorite new fishing gear to be a pair of sunglasses—but the Hobie Hull Float glasses seriously changed the game for me. 😎🌊 Not only do they float (yep, I tested that the hard way), but they’re made from 100% upcycled Hobie kayak plastic—how cool is that? They’re super light, fit great, stay put all day, and the polarized lenses give unreal clarity when I’m sight fishing or navigating glare. Best part? Every pair helps restore fish habitats through the FishAmerica Foundation. Clean vision + clean conscience. 👊 OH! And they don't cost an arm and a leg either! https://hobieeyewear.com/collections/mens-collection/products/hull-float?variant=42913400094926

The Term "Flippin & Pitchin"
I call it target casting. But you're right, there isn't a proper term for short casts to targets that aren't flipping or pitching. You're definitions of both flipping and pitching are correct. Here's a video about pitching that shows it in detail:

- Fishing gloves?
Well, you can see what I'm wearing - even on a cloudy day. No shorts & T-shirts here. Not even sandals (I wear Hey Dudes). I'm covered. And I have 70 SPF on my face, ears, and neck (Yes, I know they say more than 50 SPF isn't needed... until the day comes when they say you needed more all along). I saw a dermatologist over the winter for the first time in my life, and got a clean bill-of-health. Note I wear glasses with 100% UV protection too. I'm not messin' around!- New Video - July Baits!
Michael Neal here to share my top five go-to baits for fishing in July. As the water heats up, bass start transitioning, and you’ll find them around bream beds, offshore structure, and other cover. July can be feast or famine, but with these baits, you’ll be equipped to keep catching bass all month long. Let’s dive in!- Scales
