    Winners Announced!!
  2. There's a lot of Simm's discount/clearance sites advertising on Facebook - they're all scams. I know because I'm in direct contact with Simms on a regular basis, and all their sales are on their ONLY website. They don't have separate clearance sites, or stores for that matter - they don't have any stores, and some of these ads are "store closing sale!" (there's no such thing). It's an issue they've been trying to address, but it's like whack-a-mole.
  3. Yikes! A good day to mow the lawn, eh? The DeepDive app shows real-time weather, including wind speed and direction, along with a TON of other fishing info! https://bit.ly/41RXthz
  4. The only thing better than the look is the performance! Suzuki Marine https://bit.ly/3JwENtp
  5. Here's a comprehensive video about chatterbaits:
  6. Dive deep into the intricacies of summer bass fishing with Gerald Swindle. Uncover the misconception that summer patterns revolve only around deep waters and big plugs. Learn how varying geographies, from river vegetation-driven habitats to deep-water lakes, dictate the bass's comfort zones. Learn where bass go in summer and catch more fish.
  7. Just like the "overwhelming" need for a cooking forum section all it's own? Y'all can't even keep a cooking thread going, despite a claimed interest in wanting a separate forum. How about trying to keep a BFS thread going? I bet you'll try at first, but it will wane. I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but after 3 decades of running this place, I've seen a thing or two. I learned years ago making too many sub-forums destroys it. You end up with a lot of dead forums with no activity. We already have too many. I'm going to remove the Fishing Resumes section this winter for this reason. Same thing with having dozens of stickies. We already have too many of those. They push all the active threads to the next page, which kills those discussions. I'll be auditing those soon.
  8. MTB/CatchCo/Karls is bankrupt. They didn't even pay back some of their debts, including their debt to Bassresource. MTB was the first company, then they formed CatchCo as the parent, and then created Karls. Then the CEO spun off BioSpawn and other ventures, sold his part of CatchCo and left the fishing industry, and then everything collapsed. btw, Monster Bass has tumbled far down the same path. If they're not bankrupt yet, they will be. They've been circling the drain for quite some time. These are just the latest casualties from the decline of the monthly boxed tackle subscription concept. There were several other predecessors such as FishHound that are long gone.
  9. I use WeatherBug, which has a lightening alert. I also use weather.com app, Windy, and DeepDive. Combined, I can get a pretty good picture, hour-by-hour. That said, NWS accuracy is declining, unfortunately. So learn the cloud types and their meaning. I've been doing that since I was a kid, and it hasn't failed me yet.
  10. Yup, I have a couple of videos about this topic. Hope they help!

    They caught him.
  12. As you wish... https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/search/?&q=bfs&quick=1&search_and_or=and&search_in=titles&sortby=relevancy Everything BFS on the forums, all in one place! Pro tip: You can do this for ANY topic. Try it out!
  13. Old thread alert! Read the dates before replying!
  14. I typically fish in clear water, so I use straight fluorocarbon on all my spinning outfits without any issues in any way whatsoever. Starting off with quality line makes a huge difference (I use Seaguar Tatsu), and then using solid mechanics and rigging - which you should be doing anyway - prevents any issues.
  15. Crankbaits are bass fishing staples because they imitate baitfish perfectly. But when, where, & how you use them makes all the difference!
  16. If this article was a YouTube video, there'd be tons of comments like "You missed (spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, frogs, Flukes, jerkbaits, lizards, beaver baits, tube baits, grubs, etc)" or "I can't believe you left out (square bills, swimbaits, craws, swim jigs, prop baits, Rat-L-Traps, dropshot, spybaits, football jigs, jig & minnow.....)" You get the idea.
  17. Pounce is 100% Seaguar resin fluorocarbon, so it’s nearly invisible underwater and tougher than ever—engineered specifically for big bass in tough cover. It knots like a champ, resists abrasion, sinks fast, and gives me the confidence to fish where the fish hide. Anglers say it’s “bullet‑proof,” strong, and a smart value compared to Gold Label. If you use leader, it should be in your box now and ready for every cast. Check it out: https://bit.ly/3DxYyRR
  18. Yup, got a video on that as well.
  19. Seriously? If that's all you got out of it, you missed out.
  20. June is prime bass fishing time! Discover the best lures to catch more bass this month—proven soft plastics, topwaters & deep techniques. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/best-june-lures.html
  21. I migrated what I could over to the new account. I don't think followers can be migrated however.
  22. Warming water gets smallmouth moving. Keep up with them, and catch more along the way by understanding where they’re going and how they’ll get there. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/early-summer-smallmouth.html
  23. Yep, he sure is, and we already did a summer video with him bestowing his jerkbait wisdom:
