I got one of my largest friends and we tried to tourque the reel out of alignment ,even went as far as reeling in part of a floating tree, ity didn't budge, so i wouldnt worry too much about it.

I have been using Pflueger reels a long time. I chose to switch to BPS Extremes, more bang for the buck, the Pflueger Trion LP and the Pflueger Trion and President are reels I have a lot of experience with, they are an old company with a tremendous following both here and in New York State, and are easily serviceable when you want a professional to clean and lube them. I would say they are tried and true products. They do not come with the Elitist rep or price tags of Shimano reels, but as LBH says It ain't the ship it's the sailor

Aluminum Body. I had one good reel, but still for 60 bucks, graphite body and all the President is a better buy.

I have used Wal Mart Great Value Freezer bags for 2 years now without any problems.

Good take up another hobby, It will keep you away from here

muddy does his name resemble moron? I have had a problem on Mauch Chunk as well. I have told you about it in the past. I took that "mook" to court and won my case. Similar sitiuation, but during ice fishing. He fined me for something everyone else was doing, and I asked him why me and not them. I will fix his back one day for him... That be he. Want a fool and now he is the lead officer at Wallenpacpak,Beltsville and The Chunk. I bet you this will be his demise, I give him one more season!

A company's reputation means a lot to me. They are either trustworthy or they are not. There's not much middle ground. 8-) Pfluegers reputation is rock solid around here, it does not have to be a Shimano to be a good reel.
