  1. Wow, if things are still the same as when I lived there, some of the water New Orleans Drinks comes from the river,
  2. Hey Olebiker< I cnnot speak for the others. In the long run I did not like the "prepared" jigs, with the skirts and weed guards I have found several different types of jig heads that I put plastic trailers on and I try to rig the t rigged. The palstics I use are: All from ***: *,4.5in Beaver Craws and Brush Babies. Once I learned how to detect a bite, and I STILL HAVE A LOT TO LEARN, I got more hook ups. As for the other kind of jigs, I am sure other Fellas will give you an answer
  3. If the hits are not from panfish then: Pay attention to your line, you may see it moving beofre you feel the hit, then point your rod's tip at the water in the direction to where your line enters the water. Then reel in the resulting slack, and sweep upwards and back with a sharp snap and SET THE HOOK.
  4. Hey Fellas; I started to look into jigging last season. LBH made a video of how to, Catt,Alpster and Zel led me through the paces. Catt tired to get me to step up form a weighted T rig first, never got the hang of that part, however what he sent me and the knowledge those four shared with me have paid off this season. All my better fish and I was taking fish when others werent were all on jigs! I have not been doing the flippin and pitchin deal. Just deeper water and structure ( mostly 8 to 15 ft of water) and the Pop and drag retrieve Russ showed has been deadly. Thanks to all
  5. The few guides I know , mostly clean their poles with Old Spice Body Wash>>>>>>>>OH OH I misunderstood the post....my mistake
  6. That is a wonderful set up! I am getting rid of the Extreme Spinning Reel, the President and for that matter the Trion are much better than the Extreme Spinning Reels. Gotta ask Dodgeguy about the Flooger Posse thing ;D

  17. HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I was taking my rods out of the boat this evening and a Jitterstick on one rod had somehow hooked into another rods hookholder. When I picked up the rods, one slipped from my hands onto the shore AND TORE THE HOOKHOLDER OFF THE ROD, I do not care about replacing the ##*#)=-! Hook holder, but the thread tore on the top wrap and the bottom. What kind of epoxy or what ever it is do I need to paint over these 2 damaged wraps as not to leave the blank exposed there. The wraps just supported the hook holer and nothing else structuraly on the rod, :-/

Hey Fellas; we got on the lake at 6pm, mediocre action. Then as the sun went down, the night bite was happening, but we had to leave early!!!!!!They were smacking large black Jittersticks and Single Colorodo Bladed Spinnebaits in black 8-) PS Once again me and Bruce worked frogs in the mats, with several good boils and noty a hookup. I will get this together by summer's end
