  1. There was a thread a few weeks ago about which application or rod you paired with your curado E...if anyone could link it that would be great I searched with no luck. If not...what rod did you pair with your Curado E and what application do you use it most for?
  2. I saw two beautiful...oh eh i mean yea i think there was a reel... ;D
  3. just went to stick marsh for my first time and I would not advise getting on that water with a 10 ft and only a TM. The wind kicks up hard there and like others have said there are tons of huge gators.
  4. Worms & Jigs - Suffix performance braid 30# Spinnerbaits - 10# yo-zuri hybrid Crankbaits - 10# yo-zuri hybrid
  5. RW, is this the line you suggested? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10201217_100017000_100000000_100017000_100-17-0?ordProd=Y&CMID=BOTTOM_selectitems#itemDetail Actually this is the ultra soft to be more specific, http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/standard-pod-wrapped.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20166-cat20180-cat600394&rid=&indexId=cat600394&navAction=push&masterpathid=&navCount=1&parentType=index&parentId=cat600394&id=0030185
  6. thought i had an LE from reeds on the way...come to find out i have a message on my machine that they are sold out. DANGIT!
  7. I think people like fishing live bait at the Lake Talquin boat ramp, if your into that. I'm not sure where there is enough room to fish artificials.
  8. I would have to disagree, the only fish I would keep (and still attempt to keep alive) is a record breaking fish bc i don't want some joker cathcing it later with a couple more ounces in its stomach. Never really wanted a mount, but maybe that will change if I ever catch something big enough XD. Snapping some good pictures would make a more fashionable wall decoration.
  9. curado 300E comes in 6.3 but it's a tad bit heavier.
  10. I got a LC sammy, rapala husky jerk, and a bandit shallow runner plus some terminal tackle and line. The fiance did good.
  11. for everything...hmm 6.3:1 gear ratio, 12 lbs. mono, 6'6 Med-Heavy Fast rod.
  12. I went with the EC70MHF to match with my E7 and use for plastics mostly. My MH Compre has a relatively soft tip and I can just continue to crank with it.
  13. well, this is kinda scaring me out of buying the LE online...:/
  14. I got a new tacklebox with some lures LC sammy, huskyjerk, bandit, some terminal. then I got an E7!!!!!!!!! now to find a rod worthy of complementing it.
  15. Im sure there will be alot of threads popping up asking opinions on what equipment to buy in the next week as people spend their christmas money, so I am wondering how should a relatively new fisherman begin to form a technique specific arsenal? For me personally I fish a Citica E on a MH/F Compre and a cheap spinning reel on a M/F rod. I mostly fish plastics, cranks, and jerks. I got a Curado E7 for christmas and I'm looking for a rod to complement it. I don't want to have my only 2 quality reels be for the same thing so what should i get? You can answer my question or just the general question to help noobies like me out.
  16. Well looks really stable, of course you couldn't make a seesaw rock over. Also nice fish!
  17. I don't know about width, but I've fished with tand many times and this boat is sturdy. Thick aluminum and a deep V, we always fish standing on the benches and haven't gone over yet.
  18. That looks good. Seems to look sturdy and provide a lot of room. I'm ready to test it out. ;D
  19. 1) LMB over 5.0 2) try new lakes and learn to locate fish in new environments 3) learn jigs
  20. I've got a citica E and absolutely love it. I have another one wrapped up under the tree.
  21. I bought a MH/F rod because I just got into fishing and it's my only quality combo. Like others said it gives me the opportunity to throw a wide range of baits and I'm sure as I become more obsessed I'll fall into this specific application addiction...that will be expensive Also I am more worried about sticking the fish then the sensitivity. Maybe another $200 added to my rod and I'll feel fish chewing on it all day that I never noticed, but for some reason i doubt it. I just wanted to be able to drive that hook and not miss a bite because I didn't have enough power. Someone on here used to say never sacrifice power for sensitivity.
