  1. I did the gallon size freezer zip lock bag, and put a mix of plastic into it. The finesse worms "melted" or disintegrated and some of the different colors bled into each other. The chartreuse worms absorbed some of the pumpkin color from those in contact. I should have tried the worms with the color blends. They may have been the next "best thing". I don't mix the packages together, inside the gallon bag are probably 10 separate bags of different brands all in there original package. This prevents the blending of colors. I haven't had any melt yet...
  2. to rig with the tail down means that the hook will on the same side that the tail bends towards. I rigged this bait tail down and tail up and both ways get great action out of the bait.
  3. More shimanos for the rest of us, lol. Sorry about you luck man, I suggest you avoid skydiving btw.
  4. I fish from the shore a lot. When I do I carry a small drawstring bag that is worn like a backpack. I put inside of it: a 1 gallon ziploc that contains all kinds of plastic worms, lizards, senkos etc. 1 of those plastic snap boxes that I put in select treble lures and hooks and leads in. My scale in a ziploc w/fishing license My camera in a ziploc a tape measure and usually a water and my pliers and scissors go in each of my pockets. This all fits in this bag nice and is easily worn comfortably while I walk the shoreline. I usually bring two rods to walk the shore with. My actual tacklebox is the 7$ version at wal-mart and has 2 trays that fold out when opened. It is getting pretty full, after you are done with that pepper spray let me borrow it.
  5. hey farva, what's that brand of spinnerbaits you like so much? ;D
  6. umm California isn't the largest US state...Alaska is.
  7. I learned to bass fish on plastics, and I think they are the easiest.
  8. In my experience smaller fish taste better, the older they get the more gamey the meat taste, IMO.
  9. My boat is leaking a lot too...I'm thinking about rolling some bedliner on the bottom of it. It is a sears gamefisher and the aluminum is very thin, that coupled with not having a trailer and the main ramp I use is gravel rocks doesn't help much. I end up using my bailer once an hour to scoop out 3-4 inches of water in the back. Any suggestions on how to go about doing that LBH?
  10. Beautiful fish, Congrats.
  11. 1$ for first fish 1$ for most fish 1$ for biggest Just me and one or two others on my boat. Makes things interesting.

  13. They get banned for breaking the rules. Avoiding the word filter, posting advertisements, constantly arguing and disrupting the family atmosphere here. These are just guesses, and I would assume come with warnings before such a measure is taken. Mods are fair.
  14. Once you register, it's over. Welcome!
  15. Anyone guessing what a fish weighed...sorry I'll have to see it to believe it. Estimating weight is impossible. Also I hate reading a report that includes someone catching anywhere from 20-50 bass. Mostly because I'm really jealous.
  16. I've only caught catfish on hotdogs, i bet they resemble pellets. Have fun.
  17. Welcome! Tight lines to ya. 8-)
  18. I bought a 12 foot jon off craigslist for 175$ from Lakeland. Just keep your eyes open and they pop up there a lot.
  19. i suggest you start guiding I'll be your first customer
  20. I have the citca E and absolutely love it. I've never used a revo before though. The citica can throw the lightest baits with ease. I've never thrown anything the size of mattlures but I think the rod would matter more in that instance.
  21. This is exactly why I don't go fishing without my scale in my bag. I would be so ticked if I caught that pup and never knew for sure. lol. Great looking fish!
  22. Hahahah actually, it seems this has happened! lol Everything i throw out there i never get anything which has happened the last 2 times i went fishing, which means to me i get to buy new lures! haha Honestly it's probably the rod & reel. Or if you are shore fishing it is definitely that you need to get a boat. ;D
  23. leave it alone?...I'm throwing something to see if I can get him to strike.
