  1. Palomar all the way. Later,
  2. Good info, Thanks RW Later,
  3. I would say 6.4:1, good ratio for pretty much everything. Later,
  4. Is it just a preference thing? Because I see a lot of people when it comes to fishing plastics using a spinning setup over a BC setup. Later,
  5. The ponds I fish here in Missouri have been very active early evening. Been having great luck with buzz baits and top water lures. Also having pretty decent luck with spinners baits, just trying to keep them right below the surface. Later,
  6. I like the x-Rap, but have never tried the Lucky Craft. Sounds like I might need to pick up a couple. Later,
  7. I really like my 6'6" St Croix for top water and jerk baits. Later,
  8. Wow, that is wild. Never seen anything like that around here. Later,
  9. All these rod selections can be very confusing that is for sure. Later,
  10. Right place right time. Later,
  11. I agree the negatives way out way the positives. Later,
  12. Good question. I have been wanting to try some of these but was not sure which ones to try. Later,
  13. Both are important but I need to really work on my patience. Especially when fishing jigs and worms. Later,
  14. I would try one of the BPS Extreme reels, they seem to be very well like by a lot of people. But on that note you cannot go wrong with a Shimano Citica either the 201D or wait for the 201E(December). Later,
  15. Our Dicks around here never puts any of the good stuff on sale. :'( Later,
  16. I like the Rapala as well as the Strike King Red Eye Shad. Sounds like there is a couple others I need to try as well. Later,

I tried a trailer hook on mine, but the fish hit it so aggressively it was just more difficult to get them unhooked. So I took the trailer off and still have not missed a fish. These things are awesome. Later,
  18. I just recently switched to Yo-Zuri Hybird Ultra Soft on my BCs. I am using 12lbs and treated my line with KVd and it is ultra manageable and is absolutely the best line I have ever used. It performs great for everything. Later,
  19. Darn Bait Monkey, you have to watch out for him. I believe that the 7.0:1 reel is mainly for buzz baits, 6.2:1, 6.3;1 and 6.4:1 reels are your overall reels(plastics, jigs, top water etc...) and the the 5.2:1 are for your cranks. I may be wrong but this is the information I have compiled from reading different forums. Later,
  20. Isn't a BPS reel just a Pflueger anyways? Probably explains why I like them both so much. Still like my Shimano's but the BPS higher end reels are really starting to sway me away from the dark side. Especially the JM Elite that I got. ;D Later,
  21. Cast right and retrieve left, on spinning and BCs. Anything else is just not comfortable to me. Later,
  22. I have yet to use my Cavtiron and not catch at least 3 fish all 2+ lbs. It does pull to the side, but as long as it catches the big fish's attention it is ok with me. One guy stated it doesn't make enough noise, that is weird because my fishing buddy uses booyah buzz baits and keeps asking me to quiet mine down, he can't think.lol Later,
  23. Lets not forget St Croix, they have some excellent rods in the $100 range. Later,
  24. Yeah, BPs customer service is by far one of the best there is. Later,
  25. The Bait Monkey is very very naughty. I hate it when you go into the store for a couple of small items ($10-$18) and you see some stuff on sale and then you walk out $100+ later. Thats how I got a couple new reels that I don't even need, sigh! :-? Later,
