This is a great idea, you could also add ammenities such as tables outdoor grills,lighting and such for other non fishing gatherings (this might help you "sell it" to folks willing to donate $$$$$) -John

I have two older diawa triforce, these reels are probably 11 or 12 years old and still work like new, also have a viento and am very pleased with it as well. Like THE NATURAL said I too do not use the twichin bar and could care less if it were to break off!

Yes winterize it.If it's not going to be used for awhile what would it hurt, You are only protecting your investment! Also I would run out the fuel and fog the motor. As for the gas yes add stabil.

I had a stratos 201 f/s ,and a sea nymph fm 146 up to last year but had to sell when hard times set in. The good news is a friend is going to give to me an old 14' jon boat that also was mine many many years ago, I just have to go get it!

Soft plastics in general for me, they have to be the most versatile lure out there.For instance how many ways can you rig a worm? and how many lures do you use plastics as a trailer.
