First one of the year!
That Zillion looks great on that Savvy, I was thinking of picking that one in the b/s/t to put on mine instead of the Curado but can't decide because I also want to pick up a reel this weekend at bps with the trade in thing. :-/ But so far the only differences that I can tell a difference on is sensitivity. The Savvy is sensitive, just not as sensitive as the Extremes. Other than that, they fish the same to me so far.

First one of the year!
In the first picture is a Dobyns Champion Extreme with a Curado200E. It's a 300 dollar rod and 180 dollar reel, but I paid about 380 for both. The second picture is a Dobyns Savvy with a Curado 200E, 150 dollar rod and 180 dollar reel, but again for the rod I only paid 120 and the reel was like 140.

Laser lure
I feel like they are good cranks, but the "laser" doesn't help at all. I had 3 and none of them would catch more fish than my other cranks that were less than half of the price.

no clue edited in 3rd post
You've used Dobyns, Loomis, Powell, and LTB and Avids for shaky heads before finally coming to the conclusion that your Cumara was best suited for this app?

Shimano Cumulus Rods?
I agree. Very boring looking rod, and the butt cap just kills it. Not saying I wouldn't mind having one though, I'm sure they're incredible rods! Just not my cup of tea.

Baitcaster for light stuff...........
Hahaha what a joke. Obviously in his original post he clearly stated, that he usually will use 1/4-3/4, but will throw the occasional 1/8weighted tube. I guess the tube weighs absolutely nothing? : When I am throwing a t-rig with a 1/8 bullet weight I'm usually throwing small plastics, which probably equals the weight of a tube that he would throw with his 1/8 weighted hook. Don't you love it when people try and give stupid advice? : : Oh wait of course you do, you said so in the highlighted part of the qoute! ;D ;D ;D

Tightlines Ultimate Vision Lures Controversy
Laser lures produce strikes and catch fish where "regular" lures wouldn't either! : 5.99 for 2? That's priced right where people that are smart won't buy them, but people who want to believe will. If they work like claimed, make them cheap for a short period of time or do something so everyone could get ahold of at least one to try. If they do, EVERYONE would pay that if they caught fish as claimed. But I'm guessing they don't, otherwise they'd do this.

What is everyones favorite line for 3/8 to 3/4 jigs
The only flouro I've used so far is Triline 100% which is great stuff, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about the XPS flouro and since it's going to be on sale buy 2 get 1 free I'll probably pick some up.

What is everyones favorite line for 3/8 to 3/4 jigs
I use 12lb flouro for 1/4-3/4 jigs and 10lb flouro for t-rigs and I'm in light cover as well.

What's the funniest thing you ever saw?
I can't think of the funniest right now but one that keeps popping in my head is one time me and my friends went out to one friends grandfathers land to fish. Well we took this little jon boat and decided it was a good idea to fit 3 of us on there, while the 4th just fished from shore. Well some how I got shafted into sitting in the middle. Well about 30 mins in I was fishing a little 3in Husky Jerk and when I reeled it all the way in it was beside my friends head. Well I guess because the rattle in it made a noise he thought it was a bee and started smacking it against his head. He hit it over and over and over because he thought it was stinging him and he was trying to kill it. I couldn't help but die laughing because he would not stop hitting it against his head and his face was so funny looking because I guess he was in pain. I finally had to yell at him to stop. hahahahha After he was done 2 of the trebles were stuck in his head and had little spots on his hand from hitting the hooks. I have a picture somewhere I'll post it when I find it.

Silent Crankbaits
Bomber Square A. They will be on sale for a little over 2 dollars at the BPS during the sale.

Line for topwater
A casts worth of fishing line dragging a big old spook underwater? Mmmkay. : Yeah. It's not that it drags it under to where it sinks, but a walking bait like a spook when you walk it the line being under the water makes the lure pretty much dive under the water and usually stay there. On a pause obviously it'll float back up. It's hard to explain you just would have to try it.

Frank Mir is pretty brutal.
I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate HATE Bisping. He's so annoying it's not even funny. Now with Mir saying this I agree was stupid. How can he say Lesnar isn't a role model when he is saying he wants Lesnar dead? I feel like this thing between him and Lesnar is more than hype, and they really do hate each other with a passion. Mir saying that is overboard though.

Law Abiding Citizen
Impossible. I've never done so many sit ups in a months time than I did after seeing 300. I don't watch movies to check out dudes... I was referring to just how merciless and cold he is. He truly is a sick f in this movie. I don't know, I don't have a wife or kids, but I imagine if I did and something like that happened to me that is all I would think about is getting the guys that did it back and how I could make them suffer the most. He did a great job! ;D Went a little too far though. Great movie!

Baitcaster for light stuff...........
Yes, the Curado200E.

Line for topwater
Stick with mono. Your reasons for not using flouro are dead on. You could use braid if you're just wanting to try something else, but it's also pretty expensive.
-
Baitcaster for light stuff...........
I used to throw 1/8oz bullet weights on my trigs on my Citica200e all the time. The Curado200e is what I use now and it's perfect for 1/8 baits.

Affordable tackle bag?
I have one of these and so does my friend. They're great. They hold a lot and you can carry as a backpack.

Show Us Some Tackle!
Awesome collection of swimbaits! I started mine at the end of last fall and it's not near as big as yours yet. But then again I haven't bought a swimbait since before December.

St. Croix Legend Tournament Slop-N-Frog
If you think it being tip heavy is going to bother you then you should probably try and take it back and get something else. I don't see how it could really bother you that much though unless you are going to be using that technique/rod all day long.

BSP Pro Qualifier or Carbonlite?
There are a couple threads on this already. The PQ is a great reel, and the Carbonlite is pretty much the same thing as the PQ, just lighter.

First one of the year!
I don't want a scale, I like my guesses better. ;D

BPS Carbonlite Reel Or The RCX Reel?
Good stuff I can't wait to check them out next weekend! It's either that or the Revo SX, only because it'll pair perfectly with my Savvy plus I need some good sunglasses. ;D

Tru Tungsten worm weight, line breaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it really is the Tungsten weights like you think are they really worth loosing fish? I mean you can like them all you want but if they ARE what is costing lost fish then really it's not worth it because you buy them in the first place to HELP you catch fish. Also try a double palomer knot. Also make sure you moisten it down before you tighten it.
