Prayers Needed.
Glad to hear that the little guy may pull through. Children are remarkable healers. My continued thoughts and prayers.

Prayers Needed.
Very difficult news for your family. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved. I know it is not the best comfort, but if one of my children needed serious medical attention C.S. Motts Children's Hospital is the best place to be.

Get Rid Of This Bcs Crap
It isn't just the computers that are impractical. The fact that Coaches get to vote themselves where they belong in the polls is wrong. That is no different then voting yourself in a raise. Take for instance Alabama, Saban voted OSU down to the 4th spot in the poll just so that gave himself a little more wiggle room at the top (he is not the only one who did this, just the easiest example). You could easily make the playoff system work by simply leaving the bowls as an after thought or use the bowls as the quarter finals, semi-finals, and the final game. The notion that kids players would miss too much school is hilarious. The bowl season already extends 3 weeks as it is. Heck, we already have about 60+ teams going to some form of a "bowl" game anyhow. Might as well make it a playoff and we can truly decide who wins.

Guy Gets Mugged, Comes Out Winning.
All too often we see 2nd and 3rd or even 4th generations who don't know the rules of "life". They were lost because someone forgot to teach them and encourage others to pass it on. I am surprised at the amount of common sense people sincerely lack right now. This is a great story, that kid (both of them) deserve honors. One for being so understanding and the other for allowing himself to be understood. It is all too easy to the negative, heck our media glorifies it on a daily basis. Thank for posting.

Need .22 Pistol Recommendations.
Shot the Mark II last weekend for the first time. Accurate and easy to use. Nice little pistol. Think I might get one for my son to shoot.

Cost Of Building A New House
Location and builder often determine the actual cost. I know right now my father-in-law is charging about $100 sqft. That is not some monster palace with granite countertops and all. That is your basic mid-grade materials with 2x6 construction, driveway, 95% efficient furnace, Double Hung Windows with Low-E and Argon, and a 2 car attached garage. This is our local area here in MI. Just my 2 cents.

Help....the Stress Is Killing Me
Norcal, I will concur that my debt was worth every penny. I have an extra "mortgage" to pay because of it, but worth having my future in my hands. I also watched as a lot of kids spent good money on bad degrees to only be broke and expecting to live like kings. Bad choice.

Help....the Stress Is Killing Me
If your parents are willing to help then take the help. It is only taking advantage of them if you screw off or fail out of school. You can pay them back when you are older and they need someone to take care of them. If you earn the right degree then you will have plenty of cash flow to help make that a reality. Trust me $250,000.00 in education and student loans of $140,000.00. I would trade you any day.

Help....the Stress Is Killing Me
As guy who went through 8 years of schooling and did it on scholarships and my own dime let me give you a suggestion or two. 1) Quit worrying about what others think. You have to live with your decisions, not your friend or your peers. 2) Can you afford not to go to college? Can you do the same job without going to college or do you have to get the degree? 3) Is this degree in high demand? And if it is, does it pay enough that you can afford to pay back student loans? 4) Colleges are making a shift right now to kids to have high intelligence and are active in many things. Just because you had a 4.0 gpa and a 30 on your ACT doesn't make you a guarantee for anything anymore. They are looking at the whole student and want those who are well rounded. A 2.8 GPA can be explained by your entrance essay and a 30 ACT is nothing to smirk at. You having outside work experience and a reference from your employers will help explain your determination to make a better life. Just my 2 cents, but I just had to deal with a lot of this getting my daughter into school. Just another heads up....here is something for thought. Two new reports provide ammunition to rebut the many complaints you hear these days that college isn't worth the cost. AOL put together a list of the 10 highest-paying four-year degrees. All numbers are for mid-career averages, according to the 2011-2012 PayScale College Salary Report. Petroleum Engineering -- average salary $155,000 Chemical Engineering -- average salary $109,000 Electrical Engineering -- average salary $109,000 Materials Science and Engineering -- average salary $103,000 Aerospace Engineering -- average salary $102,000 Computer Engineering -- average salary $101,000 Physics -- average salary $101,000 Applied mathematics -- average salary $98,000 Computer science -- average salary $98,000 Nuclear engineering -- average salary $98,000

Couldn't you just tether your iPhone as a wifi hotspots rather than buying a new hotspots? Could be cheaper in the long run rather than having multiple devices for internet?

Well This Stinks
OK, let me first state that I will try my best to not get too technical while writing here. The condition you are talking about is often incorrectly coined "TMJ". The TMJ is actually a joint in your head where the lower jaw joins with the skull. So everyone has a TMJ. What you are actually experiencing sounds like it is "TMD". TM describes the joint and the "D" portion is for "disfunction". There are multiple causes for such an issue and most can be broken down into either a Skeletal (Bone) problem, a muscle problem, or a tooth problem. The Skeletal problems mostly occur from trauma or arthritis. The muscle problems are often associated with stress, bite issues, head injuries, neck and back problems. The Tooth issues are often associated with a bite discrepency or wisdom teeth. It sounds like from what you have said so far that it is either a skeletal or muscle issue and I am leaning toward a muscle problem unless you have had an injury to the face that affected your jaw. You may have a combination of all three, but it is highly unlikely. Just so you know.....there is usually no quick fix and that there are a million different ways to treat this problem. Just as a disclaimer....I am a dentist who has been taught to deal with these matters and through my own experience this is how I categorize the issues. I am sure there are tons of people out there who do it differently. Opinions can be like buttholes.....everyone has one.

Notre Dame
Brian Kelly can coach and doesn't seem to be too bad on the recruiting trail so far. The concern that many have with him is his personality. Anyone who has ever met him says he is just not a nice guy and that will turn both fans and recruits off. It was evident in their first game with sideline outburst and evident again during the Michigan game. Winning at Cincinnati where he played the Big East is very different than winning at Notre Dame where they play a lot of good teams.

Hiking Trip!
We have hiked the entire Shenandoah National Park in Virginia at one time or another. We love the trail and the scenery is beautiful. Would love to do it again. I also have bad knees and it can be awful sometimes going up and down the steep grades. I find that going down is much worse than going up, but by doctors say I am crazy. Got caught one time at Hawksbill Peak (the highest peak in the park) during a sudden thunderstorm. It was crazy. There was no cover at that elevation and we were running down the peak at darn near a sprinters pace to make the shelter. At one point I was laughing so hard cause I passed a 4 foot snake trying to get the heck out of dodge as well. My buddy stopped cause he thought I was gonna blow chow and then he realized the snake was coming at us. It was probably the best time I have ever had. The wild game are so unsuspecting that you can walk up on deer and such. Most of the time they are curious more than afraid.

Hiking Trip!
I am going to assume that you started in a park or something. Care to share where you started and where you finished. I have hiked parts of the trail a few times and have really enjoyed it. Taking my 13 y.o. out for his first overnight hike in October. I am not sure he is excited, but he will have a great time after he gets there.

The New Daily Driver Has Arrived.
I believe along with all the other advice for being successful, there is one more thing. I have seen people.over and over go too far into debt to try and be the latest and greatest at what they do. I have learned it is best to always pay cash when possible and never over extend yourself. Grow your business as your grow, don't shoot for the stars with a very small budget.

Medical, Legal, Moral???
Just like BrianinMD said, most states have good Samaritan laws to protect those who lend a helping hand in time of need/disaster. Doesn't mean that they can't try to sue you and cause all sorts of headaches, but none the less you will be protected. I am with you on this situaton. I would have tried to roll him as well to clear his airway. Sounds to me that the guy who was "running the show" was probably in shock as to what had just happened and was more than likely untrained to do anything helpful. There are people who should help at the scene and those who should go get help. Sounds like he was one of those who should have gone for help. Hope it works out for you.

Tressel Resigns
I know this will make me sound like a homer, but there is a large difference in the accusations and also how the universities handled it. The only major charge against Michigan was the lack of institutional control that was handed down due to the probation against U of M from the fab five days. They were cleared on all charges except the charge of practicing 20 minutes too long. Which after it was identified was later changed by definition in the ncaa guidelines. So to compare practicing too long and the possibilities that players were being given improper benefits and that there was an active cover up is unfair. Unlike osu, Michigan also had a media outlet who was fabricating most of the alledged items and the university hired an outside firm to investigate the allegations. They were very transparent during the whole process. Osu is handling their own investigation and through the FOIA more and more is coming out. Not that their was a communication error about forms being filled out, but that the warning signs of undocumented cars, vacations, housing problems, etc. This was by no way a one man show covering this up. If this happened at U of M I would hope they would have cleared house and start over. I said all along that if they found Rich guilty of a coverup or guilty of lack of institutional control then they had to fire him. Two very different scenarios, but a fair question to ask.

Tressel Resigns
This whole thing stinks of crap. They are trying to use Jim as the scapegoat to avoid sanctions by the ncaa or minimize those they do get. Instead of cleaning up the program they asked him to fall on the sword and take the heat. Being the "good" buckeye he is, he decided it was best. He knows darn well that his tenure at osu is riddled with impropieties and ncaa violations. If osu was serious they would have cleaned house including the AD and maybe even the President. Then get rid of the trouble players, bring in a guy that can win and give him a huge payday since you know they are going to be in trouble for this. Give him time and oversee the heck out of it. Make it right. Instead they just go down the line to the next coach on the staff to promote. Do they honestly think that Tressel was the only one covering stuff up and breaking the rules. It is about time the ncaa get a set and punish one of these schools with major violations. USC walked for the most part because they said that nobody cooperated. Time to get tough and enforce the rules. Ohio State is not stupid, they know how the USC defense works. Seems like these schools are good at skirting the rules and skirting the ncaa on enforcement.

Toothaches Suck
You can go to the pharmacy or store and get some temporary filling material or dental wax to place over the sharp spot until your dental appointment. That will cover it, and you may have to replace it more than once, but it sure beats a cut up tongue.

Toothaches Suck
I have never had a toothache, but see them on a daily basis. Everyone says they are the worst pain ever. Clove oil is a soothing medicament, but not long term. Broken teeth are the things I see most. You can usually survive a fracture that doesn't involve the nerve, it is that one in a million that goes to the nerve that will ruin your day.
