  1. This is unfortunately going to be a difficult case to prove. The patients are going to have to prove, beyond a doubt, that they were infected by his office. A good defense lawyer will probably tear any patient apart on their past history and proflof that they were infected by him. I do not agree with trashing a patient, but this will be a difficult case to prove that he infected. These conditions lay dormant for years and the CDC openly claims that transmission is rare by fluids that have been exposed to air for any length of time. I feel bad for the patients, the mental impact of never knowing if it when it may show up is terrible.
  2. I can say that as a Dentist, yes from Michigan, that this is really disturbing. Some of the reports I have seen said that this guy not only didn't sterilize correctly, he deliberately used non-sterile instruments on patients. I was a little put off while watching one of the morning TV newscasts that said your Dentist should always use barriers and on and on and on. You can effectively clean and not need barriers for every item. We have to test our equipment and our sterile pouches have built in strips to tell if they are sterilized or not. This guy I am willing to bet has deeper issues and it won't surprise me if there is some insurance fraud found either. His staff deserve some of the blame too, they know right from wrong, and most offices have sterilization procedures run by the staff. I do doubt that they find many patients who are contaminated or maybe none at all. The risk of transmission is very low. This will just be one big eye opener for new legislation.
  3. I agree with most that has been posted here. If it was a great deal and one that could not be passed up then I might jump. Yet one has to wonder why a buddy who was given the same deal on that item passed it up? Maybe the deal is not as sweet as it seems once the item has been inspected or looked over. Just a thought.
  4. I completely understand your running joke with your physician. I have a similar thing going with mine. I also have that kind of relationship with my Chiropractor. I was diagnosed with Low T 3 years ago. I tried the natural route and did not show much increase in my levels. I then trued Andro Gel for 18 months with very similar results. The only thing that would get me from danish school girl back go man levels was the injection. I am still on the low end of normal and I am not convinced that I am high enough. I am going to push here in a month or so for an increase in my dose. I don't want to be roid rage mean, but some energy would be nice. Heck, I would love to get off the stuff if they can figure out why it happened. So far no luck. I was having leg issues, which then in turn led to lower back problems. Only way I could fix it was through Chiropractic care and then core strengthening. Finally strong enough to not have many problems now. I have been hitting the weights more lately now that my cardio is in check. I just can't shake this layer over my abs. Ha e reduced my calories, increaed my protein, but still no go for the last 6 weeks. My weight has stayed the same, but my BMI has lowered. This sucks.
  5. That AndroGel is not all it is cracked up to be! It never got my Testosterone levels up to where they needed to be. I feel better on the injection every two weeks, but the beginning of my dose and the end of my dose can be a roller coaster. Glad to hear your back is just muscle. Take it easy as the gym and get those core muscles more to help it from happening again.

I can appreciate what you are saying. I have become somewhat more skeptical in my age. We can certainly agree to disagree and best of luck to you too. No hard feelings. Hope you have a great day!

Look, I am not trying to get into a ticking match. I believe what was written by a respected journalist and University of Michigan historian. He spent many hours interviewing all involved and many more. If you choose to believe that is not enough evidence for you, then so be it. Based on John U Bacon and his writings, what I have heard second hand from some major players in the football department and Alumni associated with situation I am choosing to believe it. As an Alumnus myself, it is not flattering to hear but the truth is better than pushing it under the rug. Best of luck to you.
  8. I honestly don't think it will really matter what breed of dog you will get. A dog will turn out to be how you train it to be and will reflect your personality. We have both a pure bred yellow lab and then about 10 months ago we rescued a small mix breed dog from a local shelter. Both have great personalities and are fun to be around. They are what you make them to be. Our little rescue dog was laying in my wife's arms last night like a baby, everyone was laughing at her. Teach them to be mean and then will be, teach them to obey and they will.

The proof about Miles and the affair, it is very well known throughout the Michigan Alumni base and was even written about in the book by John U Bacon title Three and Out. So as for first hand knowledge, I would say no, but as for historical data that has been written many times over by multiple high profile authors I would say yes.

I have to laugh at the "Les Miles does not strike me as that kind of man,". This is the same guy who Gary Moeller punched in a bar after he found out Les was cheating with his wife. Kind of ironic if it is true. If it is true, that means three SEC coaches who have been rumored to have affairs will have now stepped down. Petrino, Miles and Meyer; although Meyer said it was due to health concerns as he went back into coaching the following year.
  11. Looks good. Nice work.
  12. Maybe you should get one of those Rocket Fishing Rods so you can still make the season. Just point and shoot. No twisting or turning while you cast. Lol.
  13. That is some serious freaking talent. Wow!
  14. Completely agree with A-Jay. I use a shotgun for the house, but I also have my concealed carry license for when I am traveling or at the office. It is a little more difficult to go out for dinner or walk into a store with a shotgun and for that a handgun is my choice. Both serve good purposes with the shotgun being more of a point and shoot weapon at the ranges most people will use it for in the home. With the right shells it can also not over penetrate into the next room, but still be fatal in the immediate area. Shooting a 12-18 inch pattern at a target 15-18 feet you are more likely to hit than a single round of 1/2 inch diameter or less.
  15. If your employer has been "Paying" you under the table via a check then he is an idiot. You now have proof that you are an employee and that he is skirting the law by not paying local, state, and federal taxes on you. You too are also in violation for not paying taxes as well. You probably have two roads here.....1) suck it up, return the key, take your $40 and call it a life lesson or 2) contact the state labor department and file a complaint. There will be no way he can win the argument that you are a self contractor unless you made that arrangement in writing ahead of time. BUT....you will probably be on the hook for some back taxes based on your income. You will also cause a bit more of a nightmare for him and his other employees as he scrambles to make everything legal while be investigated. It is your call.....how bad do you really want the last bit of money that is owed to you and how much of a risk getting caught for back taxes do you want to take while sticking it to the man. Your call. I do believe you are still an employee as long as you can prove a pattern of employment and the checks you were given.
  16. You can also contact the Michigan Department of Labor. You as an employee have certain legal rights. I do believe that he cannot withhold money without certain criteria being met. http://www.michigan.gov/lara/0,4601,7-154-61256_11407_32352-180810--,00.html He is trying to pull one over on you and yet I am sure he probably has not filed a police report for the missing $$. http://www.michigan.gov/lara/0,4601,7-154-61256_11407_59886-39617--,00.html Other questions can be answered here. 17. I have noticed that some of the places on the web are starting to see their supply levels increase so they are beginning to sell again. It went from seeing nothing to seeing only large quantities to finally seeing smaller quantities. The prices are still high, but I suspect they will start to come down in the next few months. Panic has been good for the gun industry.
  18. Walmart announced this morning or late last night that they would still be selling ammunition, but that they would limiting sales to 3 boxes per customer per day.
  19. I keep mine in a small utility room in the basement. I have them all sorted and into ammo cans. I keep a few rounds in the safe for immediate use, but the rest of them I put into air tight bags with my seal a meal and a little dessicant. The utility room is under lock and key so the kids cannot get into it.

How long do you see Noveske staying open? Could end up being quite collectible I guess. Weird circumstances surrounding his death.

I am gonna agree here. I just bought a Colt LE model with a very similar setup for $1250 last week. It is all what the general public would pay. I got a great deal from a LEO friend who was selling based on his price.
  22. I was looking yesterday and I was surprised that 22lr was all gone. None of my local suppliers here in MI have any and they have no clue when it will be coming either. Same response from all, suppliers are empty and shipments are only a box here and there. Seems to be a supply and demand problem.
  23. Was just able to purchase the only two boxes of Remington 223 55 grain that my local Walmart got in last night. According to the sporting goods manager, they are still ordering, but that the manufacturers are so low on supply that they get no notice of what they are getting or when they are getting it. He said it is solely a supply and demand issue. Doesn't hurt to be extra nice to them so that you can find out when truck deliveries usually show up :-)
  24. I too would recommend Nashville. The area is great, the work is plentiful and the scenery is some of the best. We "discovered" Nashville just a couple years ago and both the wife and I have fallen in love. It is our go to destination for short get aways and we never want to leave when we get there.

The best part is that he claims he was "Duped". This kid just doesn't know when to stop does he.
