Summertime carry
Just my experience, but that clip is the single most comfortable thing I have carried a gun with. No bulk, no weight and is screwed into place on the pistol. Much like carrying a large knife. I didn't look at the link photo hard until you said something about the trigger guard cover, but I don't have one and wouldn't use one. Just the clip for me. Fits in my waistband, can tuck in a shirt with it, can carry in a pocket if I desire and not one complaint I can think of. Just my 2 cents.

Summertime carry
I put one of these on my Ruger LCP and it is perfect for the summer. Will need to clean and wipe down the gun more frequently, but it is the one "holster" option that allows me to lessen some of the bulk for concealing. http://clipdraw.com/product/smith-wesson-mp-shield-belt-clip-for-concealed-carry/

Car Payment
I am afraid that this is coming for me. My vehicle is almost 14 years old and it starting to show the wear and tear or driving, while i just paid off my wife's vehicle this week. Also paid off that pesky second mortgage this week. Now to have one credit card paid off and the other cut down significantly by the end of the year....that leaves me feeling better about a new car payment if needed. That economic collapse in '08 about killed me. We had just bought our business for prime dollar and I don't ever want to be that far in the hole again where I am that thin on paying my bills.

Stupid garage door opener
My wife wants to put another garage door on the back of our garage so that we can open it and use the space for entertaining back by the pool. It seems like a great idea until we lose all my storage space for my tools. I told her and pole barn would solve that problem.

So much for credit/debit cards with chips......
I am the same way Glenn. I made sure to be extra cautious after the problems I had in December. Still was hacked. Must have been a big database and I suspect it had nothing to do with credit cards. They just shutdown a huge ring there that were taking info from the state prison systems and VA centers. I believe the total to be in excess of $20 million in fraudulent tax returns.

So much for credit/debit cards with chips......
Gotta tell you guys. Pay attention to your credit. Went to file my taxes yesterday and..........someone has already filed using my SS#. Going on 6 months of this nightmare. I was at least told to freeze my credit early on. That has helped stop something much worse, but what what a headache. I think the worst part is feeling helpless until I see some paperwork from the IRS and knowing this will probably be with me forever. I cannot recommend freezing your credit sooner than later if if you have never never had problems. It will limit the damage that you could be held liable for if your identity is ever taken.

MRE's
I remember as a kid that my best friend's dad had cases of MREs he has brought home from the national guard. He stored them right next to the footlocker that contained his Playboy Collection. We would steal the chicklets, peanut butter, crackers and a few other items out to snack on as we flipped through his magazine collection. Those were the days!

So much for credit/debit cards with chips......
My first chip card was compromised in less than 3 days. The second within a week. Best thing I have done is quit storing my card details for my online bill payments and quit using them at gas stations. I have one card with a small amount of credit that I use only for gas. Almost a month and none of my other ones have been stolen.....yet. Also, if you haven't done so....freeze your credit with all the major bureaus. It costs a few bucks, but is worth it in the end for the peace of mind that they can't get you for more.

Yo, check out this piece!
I am surprised that thing doesn't come with peel and stick serial numbers. Would make it easier to get rid of.

Who's got a Ruger LCP?
Just picked one up Saturday. At $179 brand new in the box Serial number shows shows it was was a 2015 model. The first time I ever shot an LCP was years ago and I hated it. The trigger was terrible and the gun wanted to jump out of my hand. This newer model has a much improved trigger and better overall comfort/ control. I am really impressed with the improvements Ruger has made. I have ordered a sleeve for the grip to add some bulk and a Clidraw attachment to replace a holster. Only other thing I want to do is add some glow paint to the sight ramps.

Tried my hand at blacksmithing today!
I just keep staring at that knife. That is a thing of simple beauty.

Home defense shotgun storage
That bed must have been assembled in that closet of a room. No way he moved that bad boy into there!

Cyber-Theft
I love cash, but when there are items that I can only purchase online for both my personal and business use that makes it a bit of a problem. I am checking into the virtual card route, but some of the daily or monthly limits will cause problems. I am also looking at a reloadable Visa card that I use only for those transactions and can transfer right from my bank. It is going to make bookkeeping a little more work for the office.

Cyber-Theft
Just had to deal with this again yesterday. Noticed 3 charges for the exact amount of $63.59 each on my bank account. All came from Microsoft X-BOX. Had to call the bank and cancel the card, call Microsoft X-Box and try to resolve. Ended up just going with the bank to dispute the changes because X-box said they couldn't do anything about it because I don't have an account with them and they couldn't reverse the charges. I don't even own an X-box nor do my kids. X-box could search by my card number, but could not find it attached to any account so they told me to just dispute it Would have liked to know who had my info and where they were from....but no luck. I had to report it to the detective working my fraud case so maybe he can get further than I did with them. Should be an IP address attached to the purchase.

Conceal carry permit holders no longer need background check
We already have something very similar here in Michigan. If you have a CPL you do not have to call in to the government for the background check. You still have to fill out the paperwork and the FFL still has to keep it on file, but it cuts down on the wait time. The assumption is that you already have had the background check and unless you are convicted of something you will be ok. If you are convicted or have a PPO placed on you, you lose your CPL license.

Cyber-Theft
I am the kind of person who hates to use the credit cards. If find that if I use only the money I have in the bank at the moment I can curb my spending. If I just assume that I will pay it all off at the end of the month, I tend to lose track of my spending and go overboard. I have also learned that it pays to have a few cards, this way if one gets shut down I have a backup to use while it gets worked out. Lately I have been going another step further and just using cash. That is the ultimate spending control, except when you are purchasing online.

Cyber-Theft
I have had this happen quite a few times. Just this last month I had an unemployment claim filed on my behalf against my own business. The Unemployment Agency for my state was completely hostile toward me when we called to fight the claim and let them know that there is a problem. At the same time I had both of my business cards and personal cards cancelled and replaced due to fraud and two of my credit cards for the same. With them filing an unemployment claim they have my SS#, so we had to file a police report and I spent an entire day freezing my credit. So far no other problems and nothing out of the ordinary, but now the waiting game begins. We think we know where the breach was done at, but we cannot prove it yet. The detective is pretty confident that we are right. If we can ever prove it we will be fling a lawsuit. A word of advice. Always use your ATM/Debit card as a credit card purchase if you can. You are then covered through Visa/MC/AMEX/DIS just like a credit card would be when it comes to fraud. Usually means you file paperwork with the financial institution and it is fixed rather quickly (mine has usually only taken 2-3 business days at most). You also get the same protection for purchases (ie...lower price, warranty, wrong items...etc). If you are not someone who uses your credit a lot, then do a credit freeze. The cost varies by state, but most of them are $10 to freeze and you do the main three credit bureaus (Experian, TransUnion and Equifax) and when you need them you can just unfreeze the one your lender needs or thaw it for a period of time. This will lock down any future problems. You are allowed to pull any of your credit reports annually for free so check them. You never know and they can vary.

Ruger Mark II problems
I have to agree with this. Ruger has done right by me and with no additional cost on my end. Their repair service is first class!

New Computer
My wife had to replace our laptop recently that had all our office stuff on it. When she did it came with Windows 10. The old one had Windows 8 on it. I could never get used to Win 8 and never upgraded my laptop because Win 8 was just that bad. She always had a million questions about how to do this or that. When her new one came with Win 10 I upgraded mine and have found it to be pretty comparable to Win 7 as far as ease of use. There are a few things to adjust to on Win 10, but for the most part I really don't mind it. Windows ME and Windows 8 are by far the worst of the WIndows bunch.

Ruger .38 LCR
While I completely understand that it is your opinion, don't be so quick to dismiss the use of a laser on a handgun. It is merely a tool used to easily get on target while being able to defend yourself and stop the immediate threat. Regardless of practice time, the actual response to a situation in which you may need to use your handgun is not one that can be easily replicated for the average shooter. Each situation is unique and therefore any item that can help in an environment which is fueled by fear and adrenaline could be the difference between life and death. As an example, my B-I-L was run off the road and attacked by 3 guys. As he was punched he fell to the ground and was able to remove his firearm and draw it. It was 10pm at night and pitch black out. He verbally warned them that he had a gun and would use it to defend himself. One of the guys began to approach him and declared that he didn't have a gun and he was going to get his tail kicked. My BIL hit the button on his laser and lit the guys chest up. All three guys fled the scene and a witness was able to get a plate number to give to the police. All three were then arrested and charged. That laser saved my BIL's life and the life of what turned out to be a 17 year old kid who was looking for some easy cash. The purpose of a concealed carry handgun isn't to shoot someone, but to give you the option of defending yourself if fleeing isn't an option. If the laser is enough of a warning that causes the perpetrator to flee and nobody is done great bodily harm then I would consider that a success.

Ruger Lcr .38 Special For Carrying
I have a friend who owns the LCR and I have had the fortune to shoot it multiple times. If you are looking for a good wheel gun then look no further. My only concern about carrying one would be the extra bulk that is has. I carry the Ruger SR9c like a few others here carry and I find that at times it too can be too bulky. I have an LCP 380 as well and carry it only when I feel I cannot hide anything else. I am 6'2" and 240lbs with nice size hands, so I find the LCP a little small to handle and would use it for nothing more than a gut gun. I have recently picked up one of the new LC9's and I must say that I am impressed. They have discontinued the original LC9 and fixed the problems with the new LC9s and the LC9pro. One has a safety and the other does not. If you are looking for a 1911 frame then take a look at the Sig 938. It is a beauty as well.

Building A .308
They both seem to get great reviews. That is a tough call. I would probably shoot for the Nikon because of the magnification and the lower price. Good choice though.

Building A .308
Both are very nice looking guns. Just built a couple myself and have already sold them to family. They seem to think that this is a hard hobby to understand, but in reality it is just an expensive hobby unless you come across a good deal. 308 will be my next build, hopefully by Christmas.
