Fwiw, I have the previous model in UL and am very impressed for the price. These can be had on fleabay for a good price. Can't speak for the new models.

Very nice goose. I'm on the fence between these and the new Ardito-TR from Daiwa even though they are twice the price. Are they tip heavy?

X2 on the stiff shield safety. I've never accidentally turned mine on. They can be had around $360 online.

I honestly don't really mind how they look, they just never appealed to me. The one thing I notice is the lack of laces/straps. I can't count how many times I've stepped into very soft mushy sand and almost had my sandal stuck. I've always managed to get them out but I'd rather be able to pull my foot out along with the shoe.

Everyone always suggests crocs... Meh. I may have to give them a try even if it takes a point off my man card lol. I'm just not sure about traction on algae covered rocks and stumps/branches/docks. I will look into the tevas and Columbia brand shoes as well. My main concern is traction and durability

Looking at picking up a pair of shoes I can Wade in that won't get all funky. I loved my reef sandals but there is little traction in the soles and the water finally funked em up. What does everyone wear in the water?

I bring a few of each bait I will be fishing in small snack sized zip lock bags. Cuts the clutter down pretty good.

Lookin at picking up an Abu Garcia 702lx for an all around fresh/salt beater rig and was curious what is out there now that would compare? Weight is a non issue but I need it to be able to handle salt without complaint. I've owned a 602 and 801 in the past and liked them both. This 702 has a bushing supported spool where the 801 had bearings. Is that worth something? Thanks

Lol I use the same Wahl clippers on my face that I use on my head. Works great, fast and they're cheap. I've tried electric trimmers but they all want to pull hair rather than cut.

I first tried #9 at Disney. Was very good draft. Picked up a 6er and it wasn't the same. My wife likes it though. I have my eyes on one called golden monkey by victory. Something like a 9.5 abv. I really dig strong ales. Dogfish head 90 minute is another that I really love but it's definitely not something I could drink daily.

If you are not comfortable with a private sale/trade, the local gun shop would be your best bet. They should also be able to set you up with a local ccw class if thats what you want to do. As far as buying, unless you're set on supporting your lgs, better deals can be found online. Also find out what the transfer would cost at the lgs. It's usually $20 in my area. Slickguns.com is a good place to start looking for deals if you had a specific make or model in mind.

Ah OK. That's the gated community right? I'm usually at saga Lake Park with my little girl on the weekends. Caught my pb peacock and silver arowana there. Haven't checked out lakes by the Bay cause last I heard security was running off the people fishing.

Look into the previous model Daiwa procyon. Can be had on fleabay for around $50 and definitely worth it. I've caught 2-3lb bass on mine without issue and sensitivity is excellent for a rod in its price range. I'd buy another if I had the want/need for a second UL.

Fishing poles and reels? Rods and reels sound better to me. I say rod

Thanks for the replies, guys. I should have mentioned that she's 3 and just over 3ft so a shorter rod would be preferred for ease of casting and reducing the chances of me getting whacked. She gets the casting aspect but her Disney combo isn't much good for anything other than playing games with the cats.

It really does! I had the extra cool photo filter turned on on my smartphone lol. I would of loved to get a picture of me holding it but I was the only one at the park. Hopefully we will meet again.
