  1. Looking at maybe picking up my first kayak and this is what I keep coming to. Anyone have one? How do you like it?

Snow? Psh. It's nice while on vacation. I still find it hilarious that people down here can't drive for crap when it rains or in any weather for that matter. But up north, people handle snow and ice covered roads like it's nothing.

Iwb at the 3:30 position in an on your 6 designs kydex holster or in a standard remora holster when making a quick trip to the store. I CAN pocket carry in some pants and shorts but it sticks out like a sore thumb and drawing is terribly slow for me.
  4. Yanic bercier from Quo Vadis - a Canadian metal band.

Welllllll I'm going with the M&P9c mainly because I can carry it and use the full size mags at home or as a spare. Also the price is great too. Expect pictures within the next month or so.
  7. Smith over glock?!?! What?! Omgwtfbbq!
  8. Love my shield and carry it daily. I carry mine with the 7 round and the 8 as the spare with Winchester pdx 124+p. I guess I'll be the first to say pick up some talon grips or similar. I have the rubber texture talon grips on mine and it's a night and day difference in handling. Definitely worth the $15 or whatever they charge now. The sandpaper texture is supposed to be a bit more rough and meant more for range guns than carry. I actually just sold a iwb kydex holster on another forum for the cheaps. It was an on your 6 designs brand that they usually have on sale for $30. Good product with great CS if you'll ever need it. Good luck with you decision.
  9. Congrats for making the change. I got caught up with the law some years back and met some people in NA/AA meetings who really turned around. It takes strength to admit you have a problem. Not only to yourself but to your friends and family. It takes even more to do something about it. And anyone who does, should feel d**n proud of their self for making that life altering change. Best of luck to you.
  10. Ugh. Is how I feel when I walk in to work everyday. I'm only there to have my daughter in day care and for its convenience - 9-5 m-f and kind of flexible schedule but that's where it stops. Been there for almost 4 years...4 years too long. I work at an Internet based company shipping high end collectibles to nerds all over the world.
  11. Before I got out of collecting SRs and floating rapalas, I remember reading some long discussions about this. Good to know they are still constructed the same way! I wonder what kind of action that thing would have now? You may have created the new fad in hardbaits!
  12. I fish by myself with usually 1 rod from the bank. I rock a fanny pack slung over my shoulder with 4-6 bags of plastics, hemostats, a small 5 sectioned Plano box with weights, hooks and a couple topwater, bug spray and that's it. It sounds like a lot to me typed out but I could fit everying into two pockets. The bag over my shoulder just works better.

I'm really considering the full size m&p but the triggers vary from nice to OK to terrible on the ones I've held. Apex parts are there but I feel I shouldn't have to improve on a brand new pistol. I've held but not fired sigs and no one in area seems to have the p07 in Stock. I've also thought about glock 26/19/17 but meh, they don't really do it for me. I already have my shield as a cc, this would strictly be a house/range gun and has to be something my wife can handle - she couldn't grip the p95 well enough and had constant fte's.

I'll be picking up a new 9mm in the next couple months to replace a ruger p95. I had my mind set on a M&P9c to match my shield thinking I could carry that too but when I think about it, the shield carries so well I probably wouldn't carry the 9c at all. The p95 was the house/range gun so ultimately that's what I want. I'm not picky on Striker Vs hammer but I do like a nice SA trigger. Right now I'm torn between the m&p line, cz p 07 and the sig 2022. I'm very open to other options and would appreciate some suggestions and opinions. I would like the price to stay around $400-450.
  15. The best way I found is to actually take it to the water and tie on a heavy bottom contact bait and drag it along some bottom you are familiar with ie rocks, sand, weeds etc. IMHO.
  16. Got the master a little while ago and the spring today. Nothing really says BUY ME! in these 2015 catalogs. Sorry bps.
  17. It's the most pronounced hump I've ever seen on any peacock, even some being twice it's size. Not sure about the spawn thing but it would make sense.
  18. This is what a manly man peacock looks like. Caught last June.
  19. Nice catch! I've been seeing them and they see my bait but have other things in mind apparently. At least someone is catching them
  20. Lol, so I'm not the only one who noticed. I don't take apart spinning reels. I did take apart and old cheapo/beat up Shakespeare just because and it ended up in the trash. I leave those for the pros. Casting reels are pretty straight forward until it needs a thorough cleaning. Then off to the pro it goes. DVT does amazing work to reels.
  21. The old model river runners are fantastic. What are you looking to spend?
  22. X2 My old 6'8 river runner was comfortable but I find my 6' rod to be perfect for flickin out small baits between and under trees.
  23. I just thought of something.... What ever happened to mrultralight? Or was is mrlighttackle? He always posted some good sized fish he caught on light power bps rods.
  24. Love fishing ultralight tackle. I've landed most of my largemouth and peacock bass on my UL rig. I kind of prefer it over my heavier gear and always bring it especially when I only have a limited amount of time to fish. My current rig- President 6925 Daiwa procyon 6' UL 15/4 power pro w/ 4lb mono or copoly leader
  25. Hm. Daiwa procyon UL with a 6925 president - $85 combo.
