  7. Yup! Excellent show.
  8. I focus more on natural colors likes greens , browns and whites. I have also had success with tequila sunrise and red shads on overcast days.
  9. i use braid with a leader all the time too.
  10. i also have no idea what my casting distance either but i know its very fishable. for the most part i do use spinning gear. both are 2 piece. 6'9"? fenwick elite tech river runner light/fast paired with a shimano saros 1000. currently spooled with 6/20 sufix braid and i use 6# pline cxx as a leader. im fishing weightless 4" cut tails , 4" lizards , fluke jr's and smaller t rigged plastics with this along with small cranks like size 5-7 rapalas. 6'6" shimano compre medium/fast paired with an abu garcia cardinal 602 alb with 6/20 sufix braid and 10# cxx leader. i throw 6" cut tails , stick baits , flukes and quite a few other things with this.
  11. i fish from shore 100% of the time. i used to bring a bag full of baits and other things that i wouldnt ever use simply because i didnt have the time to effectively fish them. so after some time , i narrowed my selection down to what i have most confidence in. for me it was spooks , shallow cranks (floating rapalas and shad raps), traps , stick baits , flukes, cut tails and lizards. i may have some in different sizes and in a shade of green , purple/red and white/baitfish colors. most of my baits share the same hook size too so that helps keep hook selection down. 1/16 , 1/8 and 3/16 or 1/4oz are my most used weight sizes. i can carry everything in my cargo shorts pockets. i feel better not having to worry about what my tackle bag is doing when i have to set it down on the bank and can focus more on my baits presentation. speaking of which... when i got more and more into fishing (especially from shore) , i realized i have to make every cast count and present my bait the best i can every time. when fishing from shore , the area you can fish is very limited. when you make lousy casts or have terrible presentation in those limited locations , the fish become very weary about taking it. especially true for pressured lakes. you dont want to be bombing baits into prime areas. a quiet entry makes a difference.
  12. I can dig it. Just not the random crap that some kids with spray paint put up. I have a few documentaries on street art on my Netflix instant queue that touch on the whole graffiti culture. Definitely worth a watch. One of them is "Exit through a oft shop" iirc.
  13. That's a steal! Great rods I love both of mine.
  14. booked the timeshare for the last week of october. does anyone else know of any good spots in that area? preferably somewhere that is nice enough to picnic at since i will be with the fiance and daughter... so far l claudia allen park , george barker and bill frederick are looking good. does anyone have any info on these? btw , i will be bringing one light and one medium spinning setups.
  15. I'll look into those. Thanks!
  16. anyone fish from a float tube? im considering one to get me off the bank but still be able to fit in my apartment. i have a couple questions though.. i read a lot about people wearing waders are they really necessary? im in miami and would rather wear shorts. how long would it take to inflate an open front tube with a hand pump? any suggestions or recommendations? i was looking at these two from BPS... http://www.basspro.com/White-River-Fly-Shop-Lost-Lake-Open-Front-Float-Tube/product/29813/-1580793 http://www.basspro.com/Caddis-Sports-Nevada-Gold-Float-Tube/product/10205419/-1557908 thanks!
  17. im going to be up in the orlando area in october on vacation for a week and was wondering if there was any decent shore fishing spots in the area? maybe a nice park? ill be at the vacation village which is about 7 miles from disney world. any info is appreciated.
  18. I like weightless 4" cut tails and fluke jrs on light tackle.
  19. the reel is an Abu cardinal 602alb.
  20. the drag adjustment on my spinning reel is acting up. when tightening , the clicks are normal. once it gets to a certain point , if i loosen or tighten it what should be one click, it will go skip over like 10 before catching (i hope that makes sense). it does not slip and the reel functions fine. its just fine tuning the drag can be a task. could this be the drag knob?
  21. I like zoom. Flukes ,lizards , and speed worms caught me plenty if fish. I've never had any qc problems with them either.
  22. i have a 6' m/f compre i used for top waters and jerbaits. now its a canal rod. distance isnt much of a concern fishing canals.
  23. 4/0 ewg for 5" 1/0 Ewg for 4" I like to keep my hook selection to a minimum.
  24. 4" cut tail trigged weightless or on a shakey head. Shhh.
