maybe try downsizing your baits. i know alot of canals in my area have tons of fishing pressure so they have probably seen every lure under the sun. the few times i hit up the c-100 , i had luck with fluke jr's. you may want a lighter power rod though. another bait which i dont think alot of people use in freshwater is the DOA terror eyez - http://www.doalures.com/store/index.cfm/category/47/terror-eyz.cfm ive caught pea's back to back on these when they are active and the canal peas love em too. work it fast near the canal walls. look for storm drains, any type of cover, shade and/or bends in the canal. good luck!

I have tons of music on my hard drive and every now and then ill spend a few hours going through everything and rediscovering the stuff i have on there. I remember listing to the selftitled slipknot album at every party i used to go to back when i was in school. Same with Six Feet Under's warpath. Godsmacks first album too. Those always bring me back. Its funny how there isnt too many albums i can listen to all the way through now. But the ones i can , are from the times when i was growing up. Metallica's Master Of Puppets is one of them. Prodigy - The Fat of The Land is another.

Now im really excited! Never caught a smallmouth before. Im bringing 4" lizards , stick baits, cut tails, fluke jrs and assorted cranks and topwaters.

im going to be taking a vacation in a week or so to some cabins in WV with some family. apparently its right on a lake in Carnifex Ferry? Summerville i think? im bringing a light spinning outfit to see if i can get some fishing in from shore. how has the fishing been up there for you guys? any tips?

Im fishing canals more and more and i feel im not confident fishing my usual baits. What do you south Florida guys fish with in the canals?

thats where im at now. power custom hammer and extracter and bolt buffer installed. waiting on extended charging handle , mag release and 25 round mags. cant wait to go shooting!

I agree 1700 is a bit much on a .22 build but different strokes , different folks. I'll probably have around 600 into mine when im done which is much cheaper than my buddy spent on his AR build and the cost of ammo is minimal. I'll just be using it for plinking. Salenity , that is a beautiful rifle. I'm not a huge fan of yellow but that looks really nice.

I happened to stumble across rimfirecentral.com and now im picking up my 10/22 on monday. I have a tapco stock , hammer and some other parts on the way already. Iron sights , rails , covers and extended handles are coming soon. Anyone else have a 10/22 or other .22s built up?

i had a citica 201d cleaned by him and was very pleased. i would recommend him to anyone who needs their reel serviced. excellent communication. i will be sending my saros 1000f and cu51e for cleaning when the time comes.

i fish zoom 6" and 4" lizards all year down here. i usually throw them with as light of a weight as i can get away with but ill throw them on a shaky head also. ive also caught bass burning them across the surface while they were active and feeding. if rage would come out with a 4" lizard , i would probably be all over it. i just dont fish the 6" enough for me to pick up a pack.

i need to quit also. been putting it off for far too long. ive tried to quit before but only lasted a couple weeks tops when i was in NC. i ended up drinking more and putting on weight . good luck to you SFBA!

ah , go figure. well , it looks to be a county park. http://www.cutlerbay-fl.gov/parks.php towards the bottom of the page. the one i fish is saga lake park. on the saga BAY park map there is a small lot on the top left that is one of the private beaches and is outlined in red along with the other homes. they recently added a baseball field and a small pavilion and there was a mention of a possibility of water sports opportunities in the future. i dont really want to argue with the guy about it , but he is obviously wrong.

now that J mentioned someone complaining , im beginning to think someone did. while i always leave the area just as it was when i arrived , other people who fish there do not. ive found trash there on more than one occasion that was left behind.ill see if i can find the communities management number and give them a call. im jealous of you guys in broward because of how many lakes you have up there. down here , its just houses. it seems if developers had their way down , they would fill the lakes and build houses on top. looks like i may be doing more canal fishing.

well , today i pull up to my fishing spot which happens to be in a park within a housing community that i dont live in. i hop out and have a quick smoke before i walk down to the water. as im finishing up about to take my things out of the car, a cop drives by slowly , stops then reverses back to where im standing next to my car. he asks if there is anything he could help me with. i told him no and that im going fishing here. he said that i couldnt fish here because its private property. i told him that ive been fishing this lake for years without any issue from anybody and that there is absolutely no signs indicating that this park/lake is on private property. there are two beach areas on the same lake that clearly have giant signs saying anyone who uses those spots should be a resident or accompanied by one. this specific spot and another one that i fist do not have these signs. ive stopped fishing those areas since they put up the signs. he begins to tell me that he is positive that its private and that i must leave the area. while im pretty sure he is wrong , im not the type to argue with the law so i did what he said and left. now ive seen his car parked at the park before while ive fished there and hes never once said anything until today. ive been there by myself , with my daughter , with friends and even residents who happen to be there. and it really ticks me off because all of the good fishing spots are being surrounded by new houses and this was one of the last good spots to fish at in my area. btw , almost all my outing reports are from this lake. i would really hate to loose this spot because some cop who was probably having a bad day didnt want me to fish there. what would you guys do?

I held a buddies P95 and liked the feel of it. I also played with the cousins Glock 26 and that was really comfortable in my hand. I should be able to swing some extra cash and the Sig 2022 is on top of my list now I've read on other forums that people have been replacing their p95 with these and not looking back. However no one has them in stock in my area. I may have to wait until the coming gun show in early May.

The p95 is cheaper and has been around longer. It seems issues are more common with the SRs than anything in the P series... I could be wrong though..

Im looking to pick up my first pistol in the next few months. While doing my research I find myself going back to the P95 as far as being reliable and within my budget. Can anyone here comment on them? It would be for HD and range time. Thanks.

Ita funny you mention that G. There's a couple lakes in my area that have super clear water like that. One of them has a neighbor lake that can't be more than 1/4 mile away who's water is pretty stained in color and holds those dark colored bass.
