  1. I woke up today with 3 4 inches of snow on the ground. I'm in Chicago and we just got hit with what you guys had a day or two ago. We have had great weather lately too. Water temps were getting into the 50's and I was catching fish in 2 feet of water. Hopefully it wont affect the fishing.
  2. I always will fish in the rain, unless its freezing freezing cold. In the spring and summer there should be no though about it.
  3. Welcome to BassResource.com Me and my buddy Swilly78 (Phil) fish Deep Quarry Lake, Mallard Lake, Bass Lake. All good ones. Phil has caught a couple around 5 lbs. out of Deep Quarry. People say the East Branch Preserve Lakes are good too. Otherwise we usually fish a private lake were we work at Underwriters Laboratories in Northbrook.

  6. Yeah my PT Tour whined a little bit when I first got it. Now its silent other than the Sufix braid making noise. I've heard the gears on the Revo SX are bad. I was told by a guy at Bass Pro that the gears will get torn apart if you fish heavy cover, were you pull in 3 pounds of fish with 15 pounds of weeds. I would have stuck with the Energy.
  7. Never heard that one before. Great idea for beginners, so your not picking out nests while your trying to practice.
  8. Quantum over Pflueger bait casters any day of the week. The only Pflueger I would ever think about buying buy is the patriarch.
