I've spent up to $100 on various Rage Craws,lizards,2 sizes of anacondas,toads,space monkey and shad.I've thrown the craw annnies and space monkey and haven't had much(if any success) I've thrown the smaller Chigger craw and got a good amount of bites and caught a fair share of fish on em.Ill have to give the Paca Craw a work out when I start fishing again next year

Can anyone give us some clue on what we might be missing out on? I fish from a 10' Jon boat and don't have flipping/pitching capabilities as I must sit down to fish from this rig.Are jigs as good when casting as they are when pitching/flipping? Bottom line why should a non jig fisherman start throwing jigs other than to be a well rounded fisherman.Are they really that good at enticing fish to strike? What makes a jig so appetizing to a bass? Is it the subtle movement of the strands of the jig skirts action?

Anyone ever use a Paca Craw with success? I have a bag of Knock offs from a company by the name of Wacky Worm Inc. The Knock Offs look identical with the exception of the claws. Instead of the lines on the claws that the Paca Craw Has,these knock offs have little bumps. Whats the best way to present this bait? I was thinking that since these are hollow,that a tube jig head would work. Am I wrong? How does everyone get their best use out of a Paca Craw?

Its called a "Crawalker" and from research I found out it was made by a company called Feature Lures. This all I can find out about this bait. Anyone ever fished these? Whats the best way to rig them? They look like they would work as a jig trailer,but are awfully thin.

Theyll hit your lure like a ton of bricks and be gone before you can set the hook. If you hold one with your hand cupped around it,theyll tremble most of the time. When the Bass arent biting,I rig up an ultralight rod and go after these guys. In the summer evenings theyll be all over the surface and will really give a small popper a good workout.

Ive always heard that Crayfish (Crawfish,Crawdads,Mudbugs...Whatever you wanna call em) are an invasive species destructive to an ecosystem. Thats why most places tell you to catch as many as you like to erradicate them. Destructive? I have a hard time believing that. I recently put a single Crawfish in my 55 gallon Aquarium. It went right ahead and dug out a huge area under some boulders I placed in the tank,displacing the gravel and really clearing it out very nicely Sounds destructive...Yea it does. But 2 days later I wanted to check out the Crawfish in its home. I was really surprised.The area that had been dug out was totally filled back in,as if nothing had ever disturbed it. The Critter now lives on the other end of the tank under a single rock. Now how are the actions I observed considered to be destructive? The little guy moved in and when he moved out he put the area back to the same as when he got there. Pretty clever if you ask me. I write this only because a Crawfish in some lakes is a LMB'S staple Forage. If we erradicate them from every body of water,then what will the bass feed on? I know the answer is Baitfish...But you get my drift.

I just got an item from Ebay today. The seller listed the shipping at $7.00. I thought that was reasonable. Item shows up with a label from the post office with a $6.25 shipping cost. The $.75 the seller made,I can TOTALLY live with that. Thats small beans,no worries but when the seller is making $5 and more off of me(gouging),then is when I begin to get p*ssed ******EDIT***** I just looked at the auctionpage for item I got in the mail today and I am VERY confused. On the auction page it shows that shipping is $7.00. I then look at my invoice and it shows I was charged $8.50 for shipping. Why the 2 different numbers?

Like the title says,I was wondering how well Okuma Reels (mainly baitcasters) stack up against the likes of Quantum,Shimano,Daiwa,Ardent and Pflueger reels? Anyone use and like the Okuma Brand?

The shipping can absolutely be sinister in this way unless the ebay seller is putting the value of the item in the shipping costs. Then even though its wrong,per ebay rules,I wouldnt have heartache about it. Example: A high end Shimano reel(or whatever brand you like) normally retails in stores or Bass Pro Shops for $200 The seller lists the Reel on Ebay for $.01(1 penny) with $199 shipping. So you are still getting the reel for the same $200 you would pay for it in a store ect,but now the seller has to ship the item, which will deduct from the original profit,lets say it costs $10 to ship. Do the math. You just picked up a reel for $10 LESS than it cost at Bass Pro Shops. Not a huge savings,but some savings nonetheless. What I do get angry about is when someone lists an item for $5.00 With shipping of $12. I get the item and shipping was only ACTUALLY $2.50. When asked about the High Charge of shipping vs. Actual shipping costs,then the seller goes on to say that the "overage" was for "materials, time and fue.l" To top it off they use a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box to ship the item in (which is FREE at the Post office) and they have the option of having the Mail Carrier pick the item up from their home. In that instance,whose fuel is it? How much did the seller pay for materials? A little tape? Some of those USPS Flat Rate boxes have self sealing sticky flaps. Time? Unless its unusually large or heavy,or requires special packaging,boxing the items up doesnt take but a matter of minutes. Ohhh and then I suppose the seller wants to be compensated for the "time" it took to take the pictures of the item,list the item,check the auction,answer any questions and send the invoice when the auction is over. There are some crooked ones out there,thats for sure!!! If you think about it though,Ebay and Paypal(which is owned by ebay,if you didnt know it) actually Triple Dips on thier fees. You list an item and all is well,they give you the price of how much it costs to list it at the end of the listing process(This is Dip #1) Dip#2 comes at the end of the auction when they hit you for the final Value fee(which really cant be calculated from the start because you have no idea how much your item will sell for or if it will even sell at all) Dip #3 is when the buyer pays you your money with Paypal,and Paypal skims their percentage off the top. Now if that isnt crooked,I dont know what is!!! Sorry about the long post,and for the shifting from one topic to another,but thats my opinion on things.

I sell stuff on Ebay all the time and had my auction end on the 23rd of a month,and I didnt get the payment until the 6th of the next month. The buyer then goes and spouts about how long it took for the item to get to him. UHHHMMM Most sellers on Ebay dont ship the item they've sold until payment has been made(am I not correct?).So the guy wonders why it took so long for his stuff to arrive,guess he should have calculated how long it took for his payment to be made before he spouted off. Some people make a killing on shipping. They charge lets say $8.00 and when the item arrives you see it only cost $1.57 to ship. Thats crooked. I always Over estimate,to ensure im not short changed at the P.O when I ship,but will refund the difference(overage) back to their paypal account in good faith. I had an issue once where I bought some Stren FC line for cheap.I got the package quickly,but it was Berkley Trilene Mono. I contacted the seller and he said someone had helped him package his items and sent out the wrong one. Told me to keep the Trilene Mono for my troubles and a few days later I got my correct stuff in the mail at no charge. Now thats a stand up thing to do.

I recently Purchased a Rod On Ebay. Auction ended on 30 Sept,I paid for it on 1 October. 5 October I get a notice that a shipping label has been printed. Its almost November and still no rod. Ive contacted the seller who swears she shipped it.The post office says its sitting on a pallet somewhere according to the tracking number. I contacted the seller and she went to the Post office on her end and got the same answer,its "somewhere" in transit. Patience is wearing thin.

Ive tried using a Finesse Jig with a Craw Trailer on the bottom,and a Reaper(Leech) up above that. Caught fish on mostly the Leech,but did manage one fish on the jig. Ive thought about using 2 octopus hooks with the weight below and the hooks spaced maybe 4" apart but havent tried it. The whole Jig and Octopus hook gets a little confusing for me as I cant wrap my head around which one to focus the action on,the Jig,or the Dropshot. If I focus on the DS,I may give too much,too little or the wrong action to the Jig and Vice Versa. The hooksets for the DS are different from the Jig as well. Its said that with the DS,a hard hookset isnt necessary,but I believe with the Jig you gotta cross their eyes. So If I "think" the fish is hitting the DS and I give a gentle hookset,and the fish was actually on the Jig,which requires a harder hookset,In theory,Id miss more fish like that.

Ok heres a new twist on things I didnt know. Arizona Metro Areas have urban lakes,which contain White Amur,Bass,Bluegill,Catfish,and Trout to name a few species. In order to fish the Urban Lakes AT ALL. You need an Urban License,regardless of the species your after. A General Arizona License wont cut it on these waters. Same thing,an Urban License cant be used in any other water except Urban. But here the twist. The urban License,when purchased ,include a trout stamp. Now does this mean its only a trout stamp for Urban waters? I found it in the frequently asked questions section on the Az Game and Fish Website: Q:Do I need a Trout Stamp for my Urban License? A:No. Trout fishing privileges are included with the urban fishing license. Learn more about fishing regulations in Arizona by visiting the Arizona Game and Fish Department's Web site at azgfd.gov/fish. Q:When do I need a Trout Stamp? A:If an angler has only a fishing license and is fishing in waters that are primarily trout waters, the angler must have a trout stamp. No trout stamp is required when using an urban fishing license or a combination hunt/fish license. Also, if an angler has only a fishing license and is fishing with bait recognized as bait used for trout in trout-stocked waters, the possession of a trout stamp is required. (ARS 17-333.2) A trout stamp is required for a fishing license when an angler is fishing for trout or possesses trout. If an angler without a trout stamp catches a trout while fishing for other species in waters that are not primarily trout waters, the fisherman should release the trout immediately. I cant see spending the $$$ on a Trout Stamp so late in the year,when its only gonna be good from the time I buy it(now) till December 31st. If they really are gonna enforce this,Ill buy the stamp in the beginning of the year.
