  1. WOW! Looks like a great place to master a variety of techniques! Jealous I be!
  2. Ah, Muddy's in trouble now! LOL! Keep that "bug" away from me! I'd have to get a second and third job to battle that one! LOL! If everything keeps going the way it is, I'm in for the MG tourney too!
  3. Welcome home, if at least only for a little while!!!!!! Hope your lines are tight for the time you are home! Thanks for your service!!!!!
  4. Would that be the little Misses? ;D Or is it actually work? SPEED, make sure you see the comments Muddy made on the SE PA newbie thread that pafishslayer put up. We may have to do something about it! LOL!
  5. Depends on the situation. I tend to try to match the bottom as close as I can for the clear water situations I usually fish. Watermelon/red flake, watermelon/chart tail and watermelon seed for most grass situations. Roadkill, green pumpkin/red flake for rocky areas. In darker water, black/red flake, black/blue tail and junebug.
  6. I should be able to make it too! Muddy, we'll have to debate what's the better part of the state! ;D
  7. The a whole thread on this on this page! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1215560416 btw, I've done it too.
  8. Again, congrats! Glad you released it too. I think you know my opinion on eating catfish too. Hopefully, it will "surprise" you some evening you're fishing the creek!
  9. I was hoping that was the case! Congrats!
  10. Yeah, that's how the tournaments usually go there as well. Before the start, everything's good! Then, it seems, within the first hour the winds goes nuts! While we're waiting for the weigh-ins, someone usually comments "hey, the wind has stopped". :-? Only at MG! LOL
  11. Awesome Ron! Glad you were able to get the rods & reels!
  12. How did that slip my mind over the weekend?????? Boy, I coulda had some fun with him on that one! LOL! Congrats little brother!
  13. X2! P.S. Hope the wind at MG wasn't too rough on you!
  14. I have two of these Energies (5.1:1 & 7:1) and like them alot. Yeah, they could be a little lighter but still a very good reel in my book. OK Bass Hunter, Your problems sounds like it just a matter of having the reel lubed with some good lubricants. I'm NOT a fan of the Hot Sauce. I understand you shouldn't have that issue only after 3 hours but like I said, with a good lubricant you won't have that issue.

They are killer on suspended smallies, give it a try! X2!
  16. What do you mean the wrong part of the state muddy? > ;D You wait til I show this to SPEEDBEAD! LOL!
  17. Yep, Mobydick and I are brothers and mjhutch is our cousin. I fish a handful of tourneys with Dad to (so you could say we're a fishin family! ;D ), although year I've had some bad luck and haven't been able to fish any of the MG tourneys so the one in september will be my first. :-/ Good luck with either or both lakes! Welcome to the boards IAMNTXVAPA! Haven't had the opportunity to fish Redman before and it's been about 2 years since I hit Marburg last. Challenging lake to say the least!
  18. Like jivey said, check to make sure it is legal to do first. I've never done it but I've seen my Dad use bluegill and sunnies in PA for muskies.
  19. I'd check with the Texas Parks and Wildlife just to be safe. They should be able to answer any questions you may have as well as send you any information of forms you would need. For Maryland, my 16' jon boat needs to be registered. It's free unless you have an outboard that is 7.5HP or larger.
  20. Wish I could help you out on this one! That's the lower Potomac compared to the part I fish. I haven't fished the Seneca portion yet. According to the gauge I currnetly track, the areas I fish in Washington county are SUPER low!!! Hopefully, someone else will be able to give you some input on that section of the river. Good luck!!!
  21. Sorry to hear that Ron! As everyone else said, first and foremost, I'm glad you and your son are OK! Hopefully, BASS XL's tip will payoff for you! Good luck with that!
  22. Pssst! Don't forget to email me the pics please!
  23. Congrats! Great pic!
  24. Unbelievable! Sorry to hear that!
  25. How about one with all the BR advertisers scattered around the shirt with HOME OF THE BAITMONKEY in the middle? Just a thought.
