I like the hat too. Not sure about the chin-strap, but it might look good with a big turkey feather stuck in it.

I'm going to try hot glueing a short piece of clear tubing to the rod. I'll bring one of the glow-sticks to Lowes to see what size I need.

Does anyone have a good trick for attaching those mini-glow-sticks to your rods for night fishing? I know the packs of sticks they sell at Walmart have connectors in them, but I bought 100 loose ones on ebay and am looking for a way to attach them without damaging the rods.

Generally confused

I have an older Waterquest Basstender 11.3. My problem is, the live well keeps filling up with rainwater. It is designed to flow around the opening but for some reason it still finds it's way in. Anyone have this type of boat/problem and know of a solution?

I've never tried one myself, but a buddy of mine that I fish with had a bone colored one that he swore by. He lost it and tried to replace it with a bunch of other poppers but couldn't find anything. Might have just been a confidence thing but I know he is going to shell out some dough this spring on a bunch of them.

I got this walleye yesterday in North Jersey. Cold and windy but this is my P.B. so it was worth it.

brushhoggin, Thanks a million for the "fishin stuff". Jigs and trailers look awesome. I can't wait until ice-out so I can hop them all over my lake. And that popper is HUGE! I think it will scare the little ones away and make the big ones hungry. I'll send you some pix of whatever I catch on them. Merry Christmas! P.S. Thanks redlinerobert. I only had to endure 30 mins of this show before MNF started and I could change the channel. Latex, sexy shoes, and a few short dresses aside, it really was unwatchable.

We catch bass through the ice all winter long. Don't pack it in and wait for spring, pick up a few tip-ups and an ice auger and take advantage of a whole new season.

Jigs Flukes and slowing everything down a little more.

It's getting cold in the north east and my focus is switching to ice-fishing. I'm new to the drop-shot technique and was wondering if anyone has tried a similar presentation with live minnows through the ice. I figure it would keep the bait right near the bottom, for walleye, and maybe tie a dropper loop to give the minnow a little room to swim around. Anyone ever try this?

I have a leather Tumi bi-fold ID wallet that my wife gave me a few years ago. It still looks almost new. It probably cost a bit more than the JC Penny style but nowhere near the LV.
