  1. That's not fair. <-----
  2. I just got new fly line and will put it on my reel this weekend. Has anyone ever tried KVD Line&Lure on floating fly line, and if so did you notice an improvement? Thanks
  3. "Now im on Niacin?" I know for a fact that Niacin is not a good fish attractant
  4. I had LASIK 6 years ago and I can join the list of people who couldn't be happier. I also wish I would have done it sooner.
  5. I had this same idea a few years ago while catfishing one night. I added one of the soft capsules when baiting up chicken livers and shrimp. It didn't do anything to increase my hookups, but that might have been due to the weather or other conditions that night. I plan to try it again this year and will setup a control group to see if the baits with fish oil do any better.
  6. For those of you who get a kick out of the "upside down spinning reel" usage, here is an awesome ad. http://binghamton.craigslist.org/spo/2348276791.html
  7. Got these in the bargain cave for about $30 a few months ago. They thread right on your belt, they cut braid as well as mono, are always at the ready, slide right back into the sheath when you are done and will save your teeth and your time fumbling for clippers. More expensive then nail clippers or scissors, but neither of these will help you get a lure out of a toothy pickeral or pike's mouth. Edit. Tried to post an image of "Cabela's Advanced Angler Pro Series Machined Aluminum Pliers" but couldn't.
  8. For the record, it didn't fix it for me either.
  9. I just bought a HUGE bag of RootBeer/Orange tubes that I will be using ALOT this year. I'm hoping these will be my Greatest this year. If not they will be available in the Flea Market in August
  10. So long, thanks for all the fish.
  11. Why did the Polish maid have a Mexican accent?
  12. I have a 12 foot BassTender with 2 deep cycle batteries that I usually only use on the weekends. I'm looking for a solar charger to recharge the batteries after use. I have a fish finder but don't usually have it hooked up. The only real draw is the trolling motor and an automatic bilge pump that kicks on when it rains. Has anyone tried one of these and if so did it work? The one I'm looking at is the 1.8 Watt version of the Sunforce® 12-Volt Battery Solar Charger sold on Cabelas.
  13. If Rodney Dangerfield had made a fishing movie, instead of "Caddy Shack", that would have been his reel.
  14. Without knowing your budget and intended use, you're just going to get a bunch of random responses with recommendations that may or may not suit your needs. You need to be a bit more specific if you want decent advice. ...spinning or casting would also help with suggestions.
  15. There has been ALOT of talk on this forum lately about using this bait on a Sworming Hornet.
  16. What are they going to do with all of the 'crunchberry' trees? Will they plow them under or find a way to make them into biofuel?
  17. "The Source"
  18. I picked up a Corado 201E7 yesterday off ebay for $142.99 shipped. It's my first Shimano baitcaster but after reading a lot about it on this forum I am sure I will be thrilled with it.
  19. I just turned 45 and have recently realized that my eyes are going and I need to wear magnifiers when reading. While shopping for these I came across a lot of info on "computer glasses". These are meant to be worn while working on your computer to help read the monitor as well as block the glare and UV light that causes your eyes to strain and get fatigued throughout the day. Typically you get them with a little less magnification that your normal readers since you sit with the monitor further away than you would hold a book. Does anyone use these? Do they help?
  20. I'm in the same boat. Looking to purchase a reel in this range. Cabelas now has the Quantum Catalyst PT on sale for $79 from $149. Would you still take a Citica at $119 over the Catalyst?
  21. I have 2 Mattlures Baby-smallmouths that I'm going to try too. I just got them but I think they might run a little too deep for most of my lake.
  22. You nailed it....skinny dipper and owner swimbait hook. I love those Owner swimbait hooks. That keeper is the best out there. Thankfully Owner also sells those keepers as a standalone item. I have packs of other swimbait hooks and I've been swapping out the keepers with the owners... What size/weight hooks are you putting these on?
  23. I'm looking forward to throwing swimbaits this year in my local lake for LMB and SMB. It is very shallow with a median depth of about 6 feet and a few channels and basins around 10 feet. Can anyone recommend a smaller swimbait that will run at about 3-4ft with a slow retrieve? Thank you
  24. I guess Costa is phasing out Vermillion because nobody likes it. That is reason enough for me to switch my focus to Amber. I have a pair of Maui Jim's in Amber glass that I really like, but they are just to heavy for me. I will try to sell them on the fleamarket forum and use the money for the Costas. Thanks everyone for the info.
