  1. For me, it's jigs. Overall, I could probably catch fish faster, and put more in the boat with other things, but for the bigger bite I'm after, nothing plugs away at 'em more consistently than a jig.
  2. I'm in. $10 for every 5 pounder or better I catch this year. It's a great cause, and a great idea!
  3. Hey, Paul, since those snide comments are directed at me, anytime you want to put down the live bait, and get off those beds in those managed ponds, and go head to head, I'll show you what's up with my free or paid for Rage Tail baits. Jealousy won't get you anywhere. The fact remains, that Rage Tails have the best action of any plastics on the market... period. Whether you want to admit it or not.
  4. That thing is no substitute for a Rage Craw. Glad you're saving money or whatever, though.
  5. Mike, nice job, man. That 1/4oz swim jig/Baby Craw is a deadly little son of a gun! One of my favorites.
  6. If there's a flipping bite, and you don't want to fish that way, then nobody can help you.
  7. Cool. Nice fish! Looks like you spooled braid on that Stradic?
  8. My buddy got a few in the 2lb range yesterday on a spinnerbait. I got 5 on a swim jig, but mine were all over 3, biggest was 4. I can't do spinnerbaits anymore, because everytime I go head to head with them now, I smoke 'em. Used to be a spinnerbait addict.
  9. I agree. Gaudy pile of crappy hardware. I hate the brass weight, too. I much prefer to tie up my own rig with free-sliding tungsten. Takes a couple more minutes, but I have a lot more confidence in my own C-Rig. I have a friend who uses them, and he does pretty good with 'em, though.
  10. All the time, although they do prefer something a little more solid, like wood, if available.
  11. I like Rage Craws on 'em.
  12. Sunday looks like it's gonna be Northwood for me. Tomorrow and Monday will be on Bow.Wednesday just opened up, don't know where I'm headed yet. Glad you got a chance to tighten a line there, bud.
  13. Nice one, bwillis. I got attacked by an angry daddy goose at Hoyt Rd a few years ago.
  14. Never hurts to check 'em.
  15. Yeah, that Toad can be worked as fast or slow as you want to. With a non-weighted 5/0 hook, the Toad sinks nice and slow, and when the legs are cut out like Big O just showed you there, it has a great flutter on the way down, and gets crushed in, on, and around any kind of vegetation. If you're really feeling froggy, go ahead and stick that modified Toad on a jig head, and get down in the middle of the pads, and hop it along. Looks exactly like what frogs really do, and it catches BIG, HUNGRY bass!
  16. I like a jig in Black and Blue or Falcon Craw with matching Rage Craw or Lobster.
  17. Sorry to hear that, man! Well, we'll try to help by posting some fish pics for you to live vicariously through all of us until you can get back out there.
  18. Oh, yeah! A big 'ol brute right there! Cool shot, too! Man, that water looks nice!
  19. Football jig and Falcon Craw Rage Craw. Also, a stand up jig head with a Baby Craw, Watermelon Red.
  20. No, don't have to worry about that with braid, and yes, fill the Stradic right up to the taper.
  21. Just got my 5 year old a new one yesterday. I changed out the line, for some 10lb Berkley Big Game. He plans on catching bass, so it better work!
  22. That is pretty sweet! Good stuff!
  23. Really cool, man! Love that smallie!
