South FL?
We are having another cold snap, the outlook IMO is not good for the near term. On the bright side, sails, dolphins and kingfish are hot offshore, and catching a lot of snook inshore.

changing treble hooks
I only remove the split ring if it needs replacement, most of the time I use my thumbnail to remove the hook. I go one size up for the hook and for my freshwater trebles I use a saltwater vmc hook, haven't noticed my lures running any different I think I'm using a superior treble. For larger fish using larger lures I often go to single hooks ( siwash). I do the same thing for spoons which are big part of my arsenal.

Pflueger Medalist or Abu ALBi ?
Of the 2, it's medalist.......check ebay for a supreme, I've paid less than 90 for 3 of them, better suited for freshwater than the medalist. IMO the sahara is doesn't compete with the pfluegers.

Bit of a fender bender
Glad you were not hurt but what about the people in the truck? Even though the truck wasn't damaged, doesn't mean the people may not have had trauma. Whiplash only takes 5mph to cause and and injury is not always apparent on the spot, by the look of your vehicle you were going faster than that. If that were to be the case they are entitled to be legally represented, no fault laws vary from state to state. $15 hike in your premium is getting a way pretty cheap, however if you were issued a ticket these things take some time to work thru the system. If you had received a ticket it is not on the state data base yet, but it will be and when it is I would think your premium will rise significantly, especially if your points are adding up. From experience tickets are more damaging than the accident, I was dropped once(14 points) and my premiums rose to $9000 a year, high risk pool, that was for 2 cars and a commercial med duty dump truck.

Trilene XL issues
Never a issue when using a clinch knot with any kind of line, I singe the tag end putting a bead on it, very unlikely the knot will pull thru.

Possible cure for cancer?
Yeah, right. You make the same pitch as the snake oil salesman from the days before science was taken seriously. Beware, not every thief hides in the shadows. Magic cures are found or distributed by promoters. Scientists spend their careers working on medicines. Important drugs are only "discovered" in the jungle in movies, on TV and infomercials. Quinine is nothing new and it comes from tree bark. Has been effective in treating malaria, although you may prefer just to mix it with your gin. Early "aspirin" was derived from willow bark dating back many centuries and still is wide use today. The list of medicines that have their roots, no pun intended, in plants and animals is endless.

Possible cure for cancer?
Dan, the point is to think out of the box, you just never know what will work and what won't and try not to leave any stone unturned, I know you would agree with that. The important thing is to never accept one view or opinion but to get some education regarding a possible move in a different direction.

Never appreciated the anti-political/religious forum rules more than today
None taken but rules are rules whether it's a statement or a debate. Greetings like Merry Xmas, ok as Xmas is almost like a national holiday with no proselytization intended.

Possible cure for cancer?
Geez...more voodoo... Therapeutic use of ozone is not endorsed by health authorities or medical associations in any English speaking country, and most US states prohibit the marketing of ozone generators, its medical use, and even research and clinical trials of ozone therapy, so that doctors risk losing their medical licenses by administering or prescribing ozone therapies. There is anecdotal evidence of ozone therapy having caused remission in a variety of diseases, but only a few of these life saving administrations have been verified. : The statement may be true, had further research been done you may have found dozens of other articles that are positive. As I mentioned my friend has been cured with ozone therapy, his name is Larry Ranucci and he is one of my 80 year old king fishing buddies, yeah he still pulls those big bruisers in. Today, after 125 years of usage, ozone therapy is recognized in Germany, Italy, France, Russia, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, 4 Canadian provinces and 14 US states (Alaska, Washington, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Minnesota).BTW those highlighted do speak English. Many other countries English speaking or not have contributed to medical and pharmaceutical research, IMO the AMA or FDA are not the last word in medicine. the rest of of only one article : http://www.oxygenmedicine.com/articles.html

Feelin' for the southerner's
The heavy snow was predicted and many scientists feel global warming is the reason. When the weather is warm the atmosphere holds more moisture, then when winter sets in the there is a greater amount of snow to be dropped. I believe El Nino is out there which puts more moisture into the air.

Red hooks or?
I don't sharpen them and use the same ones for weeks before putting a fresh one on. Johnson weedless spoons are by far not the sharpest out there and I've use the same ones for years, no problem............If you like spoons with a siwash hook you may look into a clark spoon, the hooks are changeable with a screw.

Superstions?
Nope ! My tackle is a mess and I like it that way, I never organize it and never fish with more than a few lures with me. I had the same xrap on for 3 weeks, caught a couple dozen snook and more bass........why change?

Possible cure for cancer?
so do radiation and chemotherapy. Everyone is aware of radiation and chemo, they are mainstream treatments, but not I've not read much on ozone until my friend told me about it 2 years ago. I'm just saying there are proven, FDA approved, and medically accepted treatments out there. Different treatments work for different cases. The terrible thing about cancer is that you just never know how it will respond in any given case. I absolutely agree, except to say the FDA works slow and often times wears blinders.

Best fishing movie
You beat me to the word "classic" Many critics feel Spencer Tracey was the greatest American actor.

Never appreciated the anti-political/religious forum rules more than today
Topics about religion should always be banned but politics is a different story, personally I would welcome it. It works on other forums that I go on, but it would not work here, the balance is like 1000 to 1, other sites it's reversed. I do believe political and religious quotes in the signature line are not appropriate for this forum if we are to abide by the rules.

Possible cure for cancer?
Don't know about this juice, but there are other alternatives that work, just not in this county and of course we know why. Ozone treatment for cancer has worked and I have a living friend that's proof of it......by the way , he's a doctor.
