Chili doesn't have to be hot. It has to be good. I love hot. The recipe I use has just enough hot in it. Takes 6-8 hours to make. All about cooking it slow.

Chicken chili? I made some turkey chili recently using my venison chili recipe. Turned out pretty good. If you have to revert to Rolaids, after you make your chili, there is something wrong with your chili recipe.

I grill all the time. The key to grilling is low and slow...ain't that right @lo n slo ?

A good friend of mine did 3 tours in Iraq. I started calling him Corporal Cupcake because he can bake one helluva cupcake. He hates the name but baking is his happy place and he makes some of the lightest, tastiest cupcakes I have ever had.

When I do that, I don't get flagged. Posts just disappear or threads get locked. I'm thinking BR has some sort of algorithm and when I posted a helpful comment, it figured my account got hijacked by someone who gives a d**n and flagged it it instantly.

Spent a good portion of the day on the Chain. I also launch where the LCPD and health dept boats are moored. The police boats never left the dock yesterday and there was a good amount of boat traffic, both fishing and pleasure. Water will be warm enough in a few weeks for people to start tying up boat to boat at the party coves. I remember reading somewhere, probably here that the trailer renewal went from $28 to over $100. Couple from today. Fox Chain. Water is in the low 60's and they are dumping a ton of water thru McHenry Dam from all the rain we have gotten. Spawn seems to be just beginning. Saw males on beds waiting for their lovers to show up. We did catch a few small females full of eggs. The one my son is holding was around 3lbs and all beat up. Mine was about 4 and not a wound on him. He didn't know he was hooked and didn't even put up a fight. Keeper bass and pike were all caught on moving baits. Shorts were caught on a mixture of senkos and swimjigs. Ended up with about 2 dozen bass and a 24" pike. And now I wait to post the second pic because file is too large... Dum-dee-dum-dum Still waiting....
